Design Dilemma Kitchens

Silestone Pearl Jasmine countertops

We’re planning to install Silestone Pearl Jasmine in the suede finish as countertops in our upcoming kitchen remodel. The layout of our kitchen will mean two seams will be needed if we go with two slabs. My question is - do we need a third slab in order to accomodate vein matching? Is that needed with this material, or does the pattern not really require it?

do you have any pictures of the counter top. the typical rule is if its not very grainy it typically is easier to match and doesnt require another slab. if there are a lot of grains its actually not easy to match at all and would require another slab.

We have Silestone though not the Giallo Quarry ours is Diana Pearl. I can tell you we are very happy with it though.

Yep! That's them! Thanks for the replies.....The beginning of this week I was positive I had decided on the Alpina White....then by Thursday I went back to the Ebony Pearl. ...again....lol.... I called the distributor of the silestone - he said I could come look at the slab to double check it -which may be helpful. I keep waffling.. .my knee jerk reaction is the Ebony Pearl because we have a white staircase with a black handrail. And the bathrooms we just remodeled are now white subway tile walls and white hex floor with black florette inserts/pattern. The cabinets will be white glaze (galley kitchen). Then the practical side kicks in and I start to think the Alpina White may be easier to maintain and a gentler appearance....I'm so confused....

Help !! Has anyone installed Pietra countertops by Silestone?

Susanne, here is a photo from my local Home Depot. They have a display with Pietra and a full height backsplash. The cabinetry is a creamy white, and they did the side splashes as well. It's indoor, store lighting and no under-cabinet lighting. I haven't been able to decide what to do for a backsplash either. I've been sitting with different tiles leaned up against the wall for almost a year.

Debating between pearl jasmine and statuario both silestone. Does anyone have any pics of either in their kitchen. Would like a white kitchen. That will not be outdated in the near future.

I’m not sure if grainy means the same as lots of multidirectional lines, but here are a couple of photos I pulled off the web. Thank you for trying to help me figure this out!

normally w/that type of pattern they don't match up the veining exactly.

have you spoken to the fabricator? they should ALWAYS come to you w/a template of where and how they're going to cut the slabs. you should sign off on these.
