Leaf browning on Swamp White Oak
Hello everyone! I am looking for a diagnosis for leaf edges browning, and some curling on newly planted Swamp White Oaks (Quercus bicolor).
For some context: There is only one out of 5 trees that were planted showing these symptoms. The trees were 2.5" caliper and were planted in early spring of this year. They are located in Philadelphia, PA which is in hardiness zone 7. They are planted in fairly heavy clay and are partially shaded but receive either direct or dappled sun all day. The tree that is showing these symptoms is probably the most shaded of the 5. All of the trees are watered regularly and have not received any additional fertilizer or pesticide since planting. These symptoms just appeared in the past few days and are on about 50% of the leaves. Pictures are below. Thanks!
