I spray everything with clear Auto paint, in a spray can, in the auto section at Walmart. It shines! so, I then spray with krylon mat finish(also Wallyworld) Can you tell there is only Walmart, for shopping? Barb

I haven't tried growing any California fuchsias from seed, but I bought two in one-gallon pots. I think one of mine died of drought; the other is still alive. My understanding is that they're not supposed to be very picky about drainage or watering or anything else. Some drainage is good, but it doesn't have to be excellent drainage. And they're supposed to be fairly drought-tolerant, at least after a year or so. But for the first year, I'd recommend giving them a fair amount of water, since mine seemed to need it.

rosy, I started out with netting for all the reasons given above. I already had a split rail fence and just planted the posts to line up with it. My situation may have been different because they habitually used my secluded "back forty" to sleep and have their babies. It wasn't a problem until I actually wanted to clear it out and plant things down there. I didn't use the bags with the netting as I wanted it to be invisible. Well, it was invisible to the deer as well as they just jumped right through it. Then I put up metal fencing which they also jumped through breaking all my wooden posts. So I put up a double metal fence with the bags. Sorry if they're not aesthetically pleasing, but I know they worked on preventing them coming onto my upper lever last year before I invested in the water scarecrow and finally put up a decorative fence there.. Anyway, I couldn't face having to replace the wooden posts a THIRD time. Of course, they found the three areas I didn't think they could get to, so they now have metal fencing. You may not have these issues because they haven't discovered your house yet. A hedge also works. I have that where my fence is only 6" high and they won't breach it as they can't jump high AND wide.

margaret here again. They first did a light blue but didn’t like it and then repainted with a medium blue. They went with white subway tile with I think gray grout. The classic subway tile Like 2 by 6 the long rectangular tile. I thought it looked really nice and going with a little darker blue looked better with their black granite countertops. It was a nice area to spend time in. I hope that helps. My daughter does not remember the blue and they moved out of town about 6 months ago. Just go get some blues sample colors to hang on the wall. the blue wasn’t a blue green That much I know. The first one almost looked baby blue if I remember. I liked the blue so much I’m painting my kitchen walls blue too that much I know but still deciding on cabinet color. i think I’m redoing my cabinets tuxedo style. Just retired and bought a home and instead of replacing my cabinets I’m going to travel. Lol. cabinets lights I had below my cabinet in my condo I liked a lot. My daughter and son in law put in cam lights but they just gave me a migraine.
