Need help with new home landscaping.
Comments (7)Everything is so small, the lack of "invitingness" does not really show up. That a plant looks "sloppy" is because it is not yet cultivated and "tuned up." Where the plantings reach out and pinch where the drive enters the parking space is what will ultimately seem uninviting....See MoreNeed help with new house/add on
Comments (48)I am not a heat person AT ALL hahaha I long for the mountains and drier air. Something scenic that isn't flat! I'm in central Texas, too. People say, there's some mountains in Texas, some place called Enchanted Rock... It's a giant pink granite rock. One. That's not a mountain LOL. We couldn't afford the rock or logs on the outside of the house so we opted for siding and may redo later but the big windows all around and all the cedar and logs inside definitely make it more lodge feeling. I don't know how you tolerated 120* summers, I'd die!...See MoreNeed help for New House Layout
Comments (48)Norm, would you be okay with three stories, instead of two? Just curious. :-) It really sounds like it would be a good idea to shop for a professional designer/architect. A lot/land that is only 56' wide (my production home is on a 55' wide lot, I think), by 90' long (mine is 125'), can't really support a huge house, in my opinion. I feel like *my* house is even too big for my lot, and it's a single story, 2060 sqft home that is roughly 36' wide by 57' long. Do you have a strict deadline for the design phase?...See MoreNeed help with new homes living room.
Comments (2)Looks like the TV should go right of the FP if it isn't too large. We need to see all the walls and some measurements to be helpful....See Moreelcieg
