Such great ideas everyone. OMG Melissa, WOW! The house looks so different without the shutters. I LOVE the SW Urbane Bronze front porch...even the walk way and driveway. I like the Bora Bora Shores front door rather than the yellow. Very nice. :) I really love it!.

I would plant the planters with dwarf and low growing evergreens that frame the entry. Redo the driveway and walk. Have the walk gently curve to the driveway, but much more forward than it is now. Paint the white around the windows to match the trim.

I think the question is should the interior of the front door have any decoration. I think the pictures that are on either side of the front door are too big because they are spilling off of the wall. I would hang both of those elsewhere. Your door does not need anything else. It is fine to have a blank space between rooms for your eye to rest.

We had a fair amount of break-ins in our nice Los Angeles neighborhood and the majority gained access though breaking glass, either on sliders or french doors. The other preferred method was through upstairs french doors on balconies, as it turns out that many people don't put window/door sensors or motion detectors upstairs. Maybe in FL they don't bother with glass, because as I mentioned in my previous response, hurricane/impact rated glass on windows and doors has been code for many years in FL!
