ALAS, Ingrid -- I suspect Bright Red is what you get in a hotter climate. I suspect I might get that in a Really Bad Heatwave -- and one of these days, I'll probably find out. As for Heirloom and the virused roses ... I think the problem lies in the fact that they misunderstood how virus works. Sure, it IS spread in budding -- but you don't avoid it by taking cuttings from a virused plant. AND roses imported from Europe can't be considered virus-free -- because we kindly sent virused plants over there for years. So, the description should read "TESTED virus-free." (Unless, of course, it has not been tested, in which case they probably not ought to mention it at all, eh?) BTW, at one time, we had 3 plants of the HT, 'Secret.' One of the three was by far the most-vigorous. And yet, that was the only one of the three that periodically displayed signs of virus. We knew it was there, in the other two plants. We just couldn't SEE it. Jeri

Raeanne~LOL Another OC! Dave told his DM about me & she just looked at me like I had 3 heads. tee hee It was kinda funny really. Marci~Glad that you took time to post. We have such a small apartment that we put out a 24" or 36" tree. I had put that Dave was planning to put it up but I looked & he has already done that little job. It already has lights on it~the fiber optic kind. We have it on an end table & put any gifts, if we have any, on the floor. Lynn~Good for DH! I'm sure that you feel so good with the satisfaction of knowing that your tree is different this year. Tikanis~I wish that you lived closer & you could cook for us! I think that we would both, Dave & me, be healthier if you were cooking for us. You always have the best sounding menus when you post them. I hope & know that DS appreciated what you gave him. I remember us doing that for both of our DSs too. We furnished both of them with a house full of stuff. I have a proud feeling when I go there & see them displaying some of the things that we gave them. Even DS#1 & DDIL have a towel with his last initial of "H" displayed & a cross that we gave them & a cross-stitch thing that I did for their wedding. Then there is crazy blanket that I gave DS#1 when he moved out that he uses in the guest room. I guess that I really ought to buy him another one but it won't be this year b/c we already have something bought. NH Suzanne~We are on a guest list from Dillard's every year so we go & look at what they have. They have punch & goodies & Dave has asked to take me out first before we go so we'll be going to that tomorrow night. It is usually pretty crowded but we normally have a very good time. This year we will just be looking mainly b/c we have all the gifts done. I will probably look for a thing or two for Dave. But we are going in together this year to buy a bigger gift for each other. We had been going all week so I took today off to do nothing & I mean that literally. LOL Maddie~The "Lion King" is playing here now. I would love to go. The 23rd is all right with me. I don't hear from Happyto but I think that it is mainly b/c we have both changed E-mail addys & just lost touch that way. Bummer!! She was such a nice lady. Milkdud~I'm going to check on you & see if you are lurking! How is your grandbaby? I may have to put you in the spot of checking up on mine until she can talk on the phone to me. LOL She does at least coo. It makes me feel so good. Well, BJ, I hope that you are having better weather & that you will be able to join us soon. Your sisters will be here for you when you are ready. Good Morning from Cookie Central! DeeMarie - I figured I had better post, as it looked like you were talking to yourself again! LOL I have all my cookies made and in the freezer except for the Pizzelles. I will do anise and orange ones on Saturday. They aren't hard, just time consuming, as I make extras to give away. I also made 13 dozen Lady Lock Squares and 15 dozen Cream Wafers to give away. Why do I do this to myself?! Jen - I mailed your package on Wednesday. It is big! Hope it gets there in one piece. I apologize now for all the packaging tape I used! LOL DMIL is getting better, but she is getting mean in the process. She can't accept help easily and she keeps yelling at everyone who tries to help her. She is still using the walker to get around, but I can tell she is getting stronger. Yesterday she ate eggs and toast for breakfast and beef noodle soup for lunch, so we are making progress. I wrapped everything I had bought and now I am waiting on some late arrivals form UPS. I ordered a couple of things that were guaranteed to be here by the 23rd, so I am keeping my fingers crossed. DD will graduate on Friday and we are having a small get together for her Friday night. DS won't be in until Saturday though, as he is driving from FL instead of flying. Luckily DD arranged to graduate at a branch campus near us, so we don't have to drive to State College. DD has been offered a temporary job in State College in her field, HR. She accepted, but she had to find another apartment, since she had arranged for someone to sublet from her when she thought she would be coming home. I am happy she found something that will give her experience and look good on her resume, but I told her she has to leave PSU sometime! LOL ((Raeanne)) - I hope your DD can make it home for the holidays. I dread the days when my kids can't be here. Patti - LOL - I read that Peanut M&Ms aren't supposed to raise your blood sugar, but I am afraid that moderation isn't one of my strong points. Also, I have found that sugar and chocolate in particular, affect my sleep, so I am trying to avoid them as much as I can. (You may ask why I made so many cookies, and I don't have a good answer for that! LOL I guess tradition is stronger than common sense!) Give Dave a HUG for me! Have you talked to Milkdud recently? I wish she would come back and post again. Donna - Did you ever get the new URL for Picture Trail. I don't have your email address. I will try sending an email through this site. Let me know if you don't get it. Are you getting in the Christmas groove yet? LOL Joanne - I hope you are able to slow down and enjoy the holidays. How is your mother doing? Besh - Are you going to have your family home for Christmas? NHSuzanne - I bet you are loving this warm weather. I hope we don't have to pay dearly for it later though. Any pictures of the eggs yet? I bet the blues ones are gourgeous! Tikanas - Did you get the gingerbread houses made yet. I have always wanted to try making one, but never got around to it. I did make Ginger Snap Cookies this year though. LOL Maddie - Waving back just in case you are waving your hands in the air. I have to finish some last minute craft projects and hop in the shower. justlinda, what is the side of the stack under K2 that is highlighted in your pic. I think it can only be an arrow or an upside down bird, but that appears to be neither.

Symbol is a little vague - I see lots of unusual objects (pie, firecracker), but are they symbols of something.

I can only get 11 also. all that is left is the arrow which is rarely used or the Bird.

I always saw the pie as a sort of alligator creature.

I don't believe you count two of the same. You often have more than one crown and it always counts as one.

I certainly don't think the binders count unless he has added a new symbol which is entirely possible.

I dont see an arrow in the stacked notebooks. Is that what i’m supposed to see? I only found 11 also if that’s what it is. Couldnt find the upside down bird.

I went fossicking around and found a cartoon that could only have the number stated if you counted two crowns-it was a pretty bare one so easy to count. So I will vote For two eyeballs as well.

I love the word fossicking. It is a real and amazing word and very British. Al Capp is British!
