Try these tips. If one of your neighbors remote controls is inadvertently programmed into your receiver, you door will open when their remote is activated. If this happens you will need to clear out your receiver and reprogram your remote controls. Press and hold the smart/learn button for 6 seconds or until you see the small LED light near the button turn itself off. If the above steps have been followed and the symptoms continue, there may be an electronic short in either the wall control button or the receiver logic board. In this case, remove the wall control wires from terminals 1 and 2 on the motor unit. Should the symptoms persist after the wires are removed, replace the receiver logic board. If the symptoms stop with the wall control wires removed from the motor unit, replace the wall control button, and the wires leading to the wall control button.

Tried that. No dice. The connectors seem ok. Solid. IDK. I do have a tester but it has multiple settings on it and I'm not quite sure how to measure to see if it has juice.

First, turn off the gas at the meter. Then there are two options: 1) Unscrew the valve, add a right angle street elbow (one end male, the other female) to the pipe, and screw the valve back in. Because of the tight clearance to the wall, it may be necessary to cut a small area out of the sheetrock to have room to screw the elbow on; you could either leave the small hole or, if you are neurotic like me, repair it after the fittings are back in place. 2) Unscrew the valve, cut the pipe shorter, re-thread the pipe in place, then reinstall the valve. This seems like a bigger hassle and more work, plus: a) having to rent a pipe threader, and b) waiting so that any gas near the cut point had dissipated so you didn't have to worry about using a power tool that gave off sparks.

You jumped all over a TANSTAAFL “deal” that was too good to be true. You didn’t even bother to do your due diligence, or you’d have found the lapsed license. And probably a whole lot more. Even if your kitchen is smaller than the average 12x14 space that costs 63K to redo for a mid range project, $6700 is about 20K short of where you should be for labor. That’s another warning sign that you ignored. When something is way to cheap to be real, you’re not getting real. You’re getting the fake Rolex from the guy in the trench coat in the alley. You ignored all the warnings. It’s why you are where you are at now. If the complaint is eligible for small claims court, good. You won’t need to hire a lawyer beyond a couple of hours of a basic consult. But you have zero documentation for anything to consult about. That’s not good. If you didn’t learn, and keep trying to find something for nothing, then you’ll just get scammed over and over.
