Window boxes with Marvin windows?

Hi, we have just installed new Marvin Elevate replacement windows on our second story. We'd like to mount window boxes, but are a bit worried about how to water them, given how tricky the screens are to get in and out of the windows. Do any of you have experience with this? Thanks!

All upstairs window boxes are a pain to some extent, whatever windows you have. But you can get drip irrigation systems for them.

They will be a PITB the first couple of time. Then you will be old hat at them. Keep in mind, they don't, from a longevity standpoint, like to be taken in and out.

At 10 years old, I would have figured them to be less than $420. Couple that with the fact that windows are 10 years old and very likely outside the frame warranty before you even put them in unless you get a waiver from Eagle.

Marvin casement windows & window treatments

I purchased the Marvin Utimate casements too and finding it difficult to find window treatments that fit inside these windows.. The grooves inside for their integrated shades prevents mounting of conventional window treatments using an inside mount. I also purchase a couple of Marvin Ultimates with the retractable screen and there does seem to be a Marvin solution for an integrated shade with it either. Anyone have a suggestion on this? I figured it out!. You do an inside mount on 1" part of the surrounding window inner surface.. It might leave a little sticking out depending on the 1" depth mini bind or cellular shade, but it is doable.

Joining pvc window sill/ box to drywall (as in a window return)

Agree with @hallettco can't tell anything from these pictures. One shows exterior siding with what looks like composite board butts to it? The other one it looks like composite board overlapping sheetrock if that's the case they should have used drywall end-caps, to get a nice, straight transition they come in plain or beaded corner something like this Or you can get a low profile edge cap at this point and paint it something like this or Drywall end caps is the way to go, the molding options just to cover up what you have now. Talk to your contractor ask them to slip the drywall end caps in they should be able to do that will give a better finish. Good luck
