I would just change the sheen unless you want more contrast. I would not use White Opulence in this situation because they are both too close but too different. It would be just "off" in that head scratching way. Now I do know White Opulence very well,as I've used it for all my trim and all the kitchen cabs in this house.

Hello! I’m gutting my 1 bedroom apartment in Brooklyn (read: small) and plan to install engineered hardwood floors throughout. I’m wondering what color white would be best to use in my entry way. My living room will be painted dark (something like Behr cracked pepper). I have good natural light, west/northwest exposure, and am feeling overwhelmed with my google searches! I’ve attached a render of my kitchen (facing the entryway, which is what I’m looking to paint) and two images of two floors I am considering purchasing. The pendants, bar stools, and art are for display purposes only and not representative of my space :) Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Bright colors do not always make a room appear larger, or even brighter. Whites? they come to life IN the abundant natural light. Spaces often seem larger in deep tones, as the walls "recede" and white trim makes the walls look yet richer. This isn't a "room" it's a passage hall. Flat paint is not a good trim paint finish, satin finish is plenty of gleam with no boat like shine. Bottom line? Light has two basic sources: ) daylight and electricity.

Complementary colors will accentuate.
