looking for best non staining farmhouse sink

We are renovating our small kitchen. Had a double sink but with the reno want to have one larger sink. Love the white farmhouse look but concerned about staining. Suggestions?

I doubt you'll permanently stain this Ricotta (bright white) Elkay Ferguson apron front sink if you keep it rinsed.

The Kohler Whitehaven is virtually stain-proof until the finish begins to wear and that would be avoided with the use of a basin rack.

I don't have any experience with the Elkay Quartz Luxe sinks (like the one @Joseph Corlett, LLC mentioned) but I've had an Elkay Quartz Classic in white for a couple of years now:

I love the look and Mr. Corlett's right: it shouldn't stain permanently if you keep rinsing it. BUT it requires frequent cleaning and needs a lot more attention than my old Kohler cast iron enamel sink or a good stainless sink.

It discolors very easily so must be rinsed thoroughly every single time something other than water goes into the sink or you'll be cleaning it all the time. I have to take out the rack and clean with dish soap and a sponge frequently, and about once a week (oftener if it looks grungy) I have to clean it with with a sponge, some white vinegar & water, Hope's Perfect Sink Cleaner, and/or a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser to keep it looking white. I try to minimize the use of the sink cleaner & Magic Eraser to avoid roughening the sink surface, which will I suspect would make it even more prone to "grabbing" colors.

Although I keep a rack in the sink, somehow it got a couple of tiny chips or dings in it, which show up as dark dots. I contacted Elkay & got this response:

"Chipping/dings are not covered under warranty (attached warranty below). You are most likely seeing build up within those dings, which is giving the appearance of a different color. I recommend cleaning the sink up with a powdered cleanser such as the Bar Keeper's Friend with a Scotch Brite sponge (focus on getting within those chips/dings). If that doesn't help, the next thing I would recommend is using a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser. The Magic Eraser is what we have found helps the most in getting any of those "tough to get out" stains."

Elkay wasn't much help regarding fixing the dings:

"We personally don't have any touch up kits or recommendations for filling chips in quartz sinks, but I suggest that you speak with a professional in dealing with quartz. You could try reaching out to a countertop fabricator or researching some recommendations online." (I just decided to ignore the dark dots between cleanings.)

That being said, I still like the sink. But it definitely takes work to keep it looking good and would drive me nuts if I still had kids at home!

Just to be clear, the company I mentioned is OverstockDeals.com not Overstock.com. I'll link it below. I was thinking that their black friday special was 20% or more and by using MrRebates there was 3 - 5% cash back also. Plus, they had a lot of their larger items on sale, too. So, you got a percentage off the sale price. You'll be fine purchasing in November, if you aren't starting until October. Our builder had told us they could build our house in 4 - 6 months. We started last August. I started buying plumbing supplies in June/July. It is now the following Sept. and we still don't have sinks and toilets installed. They've been sitting for a year! Who has Ikea's farmhouse sink? (or farmhouse sinks in general)

As far as I can tell, the nig bummer is that its meant to be a partial overmount with a flatish lip that goes over the counter. Unless you caulk well while installing, its moldville under that lip. I like that it's easy to clean and it always looks white. We got a third party grid that helps to keep pot marks away. The LACK of depth is a relief, I like the sink around 8 inches deep. If she uses 1/2 sheet pans frequently, she needs a different sink as this one will not fit those size things. I have a two burner pancake griddle - the cheap non-stick, for home use kind - and it won't fit that. It can sit on the top, and the front and back handles will rest on the sides - so I can still clean the pan. It will fit a regular roasting pan. The other two things that I don't like about the sink is the faucet is very far back (23" or so) in comparison to 19-21" for most undermounts. It acts funny if its filled with ice - just like a glass of iced tea, it will form condensate on the underside of the sink. I imagine that varies with where you live. We just bought a sink and if I was going farmhouse it was going to be Blanco, hands down. We beat up our old Blanco and that thing just never failed to impress us. Their farmhouse also has a workstation option which I think is really ideal if you cook a lot or want some additional organization. But I'm telling you the last sink just wouldn't die... It didn't pop with hot liquids, it didn't scratch where I couldn't clean it EASILY, never saw awful distinctive spots, left cans in it with no problems, etc. All the horror stories I read while researching sinks I never had an issue with. Give Blanco a try if you like the look of their farmhouse!

You haven't said if you're getting new cabinets or not. If so, you can get a full apron sink and cabinet. If not, you'll have to get a short apron sink. The Whitehaven is an excellent choice as is the Elkay Quartz Luxe. This is the short apron Ferguson model in Ricotta (bright white). Unlike the Whitehaven or fireclay, the color goes all the way through meaning a chip isn't a catastrophe. All are self-facing; no scribing required:
