TMG: Thanks for the Slow complement!LOL! hee hee Marti: That bed shape was here when I bought the place, but I decided to mulch around it to save from pulling grass where the lawnmower couldn't reach and I think it's a bonus that it enhanced the bed shape!! Comments (14)Kate, I'm up somewhere around 200 give or take a few. That's plenty for me while holding down a full time job, with a DH who is becoming increasingly disabled and with bad knees myself. I am only mid-50's; DH is 5 years older, but I suddenly *feel* old this year. Florence, you and Bob are wonders with all the health issues you have worked through and still garden the way you do. You grow beautiful roses - in spite of all the shade from the trees you also successfully grew! ;-) Carla, I will definitely post pictures next year when everything is smoothed out and seeded. I think it will be a nice spot for a bench, too, so I can sit down there surrounded by roses on 3 sides. I'll show you what I mean next June. Karen, we were just talking about weeding out unsatisfactory roses to make way for any new varieties that we covet, weren't we. I know you understand where I'm coming from since our rose gardens are very similar with different levels spread out over a large area and comparable numbers (although I think you have me beat on perennials!) Len, I too can forsee getting to a point where I will not be able to care for all I created - and that includes not only the gardens, but a large house as well. That's where the friends Karen is talking about are at right now. They've just got more than they need and it has become real work to care for it all although they certainly have enjoyed their years there. The trouble is that everyone who sees their property oohs and aahs over it (it is just like a park) but someone looking to buy gets scared. It will take a very special (and young!) couple to take over that garden, or sadly it might have to be ripped out and seeded over with grass to reduce its intimidation factor in order to find a buyer....See MoreThermadore oven owners..Please tell me about your experience!!!
Comments (22)If you are having an installition tech do the install, he will undoubtedly, cut out the back of the cabinet. I installed into a 27" standard oven cabinet. and so I had close tolerances and careful front surgery to do on the cabinet. Installing into the larger cabinet should be easier for your tech. I was doing the install myself, and when I encountered the depth issue, I called a carpenter friend that does a lot of kitchen installs. I asked him how often he has this kind of problem and what he does about it. He told me that it happens about half the time, and he just starts cutting the back until he gets enough space. If cutting the back panel isn't enough, he said that he just "starts hacking the drywall away" until he gets enough space. I had enough depth after I cut a sizeable piece out of the back panel. It amazes me that the appliance manuf. don't design to the standard cabinet size spec, and don't warn you that this could happen. I had a real sinking feeling, when I first realized that it was not going to fit into the cabinet. It turns out that cutting the back panel does not compromize the structural integrity of the cabinet. BTW, I installed into Thomasville cabinets. But I did check other brands of cabinets, and it was going to be a problem in all of them. If you were concerned about oven size, why didn't you get a 30" oven? That is monstous inside. I could not fit a 30" cabinet in, but I would have preferred to have the 30". Goodluck Carguy...See MoreLet me see your window pics in..................
Comments (21)Hi Sheesharee.......Thank you so much for your sweet compliment! This is a swag.........just the newer kind. I had a seamtress make it. The rosettes are hung one in the middle at the crown molding & one on each end of the window. the swag is just draped over. I got them (rosettes)at Linen N Things I think. I think any sheer type fabric would work to drape over ...........as long as it didn't have a front & a back that was noticeably different. This is sewed with two different types of fabrics. You could drape sheer fabric & just create folds with your hand. It might not be angled exactly like mine unless you cut it though but it would still look pretty good . Good luck!
