Any ideas to help me prune this (I think “Ann”) saucer magnolia

Late last summer we moved into our new house, and I’ve been holding back in pruning anything until 1. I know for sure what it is and 2. Have seen it through all seasons.

There are a few things I need help with and advice on, but my main one is this magnolia. I’m pretty confident this is an Ann deciduous saucer magnolia.

As you can see from the pictures, it is stunning right now, but a massive bushy blob for most of the rest of the year until it loses its leaves.

I was wondering if there are any interesting ways to prune this lady to look less like a massive bush and a bit more interesting throughout the rest of the spring, summer, fall? Maybe pruning the middle to make it into 2 distinct lobes? Any ideas and/or photos would be helpful!
