What have I done? Can anyone relate?
Comments (3)I see you're new, welcome :) Vent away! ;D I was going to suggest posting this in Home Decorating forum here, there are some whiz bang members over there who can help people out of most any jam (and vast majority are just 'regular' people like us, not pro decorators ;) But, if you really, really hate the color, it sounds like a repaint is in the works. Do check out Home Dec, though, and if you have pictures post. (We love pictures ;) I've seen people get out of much worse 'jams' with only a minor accessory tweaking here and there as a result of some brainstorming ;) If repaint is looming, I would urge you to go to a BM dealer and get some of the sample pots and some poster board, and put colors that you lean toward on at minimum an 8 1/2 x 11 piece of poster board. Move it around the room, in daylight, evening, corners, etc. and take a couple days to get a feel for a color before you make a decision. ;-)...See Morebacksplash - wallpaper - has anyone done this? have pics?
Comments (16)AboutToGetDusty, did they have a fire? I can't imagine doing something on my stove top that would melt anything on the walls. Our range has a back to it, too it's not a countertop inset range. It would require a large fire on the stovetop to affect the wallpaper in our kitchen. Anyway this stuff is not vinyl it is a type of foam, and meets CA fire code or it wouldn't be sold here. ao34, ours is the Allen and Roth brand from lowes, link below. It was less than $20 for the 55 sq ft roll, prepasted and pretty easy to install. Comments (11)Is this the one you wanted? I think its called "I can't Remember" Just a line to say I'm living, that I'm not among the dead, though I'm getting more forgetful and mixed up in the head. I got used to my arthritis, to my dentures I'm resigned, I can manage my bifocals, but God I miss my mind. For sometimes I can't remember when I stand at the foot of the stairs, if I must go up for something or have I just come down from there. And before the fridge so often, my poor mind is filled with doubt, have I just put food away, or have I come to take some out. And there's times when it is dark with my nightcap on my head, I don't know if I'm retiring or just getting out of bed. So, if it's my turn to write you, there's no need for getting sore. I may think that I've written, and don't want to be a bore. So remember that I love you, and wish that you were near. Now it's nearly mail time so must say goodbye dear. Here I stand beside the mail box, with a face so very red, instead of mailing you my letter, I had opened it instead! For a change, sacrilege though it may be, what I'm most looking forward to this year is something other than beans... new pepper trials (including a breeding project I'm pretty excited about) and what looks to be a really good garlic crop. ;-)...See More
