I posted a while ago and never came back to answer the questions- sorry! I can give an update: Weve had the range for about 18 months now and we are very happy with it. We use the griddle very often, the grill insert from time to time The steam oven works well- no water on the floor- the water container has a lid that closes before you slip it in the slot. My only complaint- the small oven does not brown evenly on convention bake- I baked 2 pies in there at Thanksgiving (one at a time)- and the tops browned more at the back end of the over- had to be careful and cover with aluminum foil to avoid burning. We've had problems with the circular thermometer in the center of the range- In my opinion this is a silly feature - it does not really reflect the temperature inside the oven as i moves immediately on setting on or off, and something was wrong with the way it was wired into our range- the wires came loose at least twice- we had the warranty so repair was completely free - might as well since it was free, and now its been fine - I wouldnt pay to repair this as it is not very useful. I have never used self clean- and after readying about frying electronics I have elected to not use that feature and clean the oven myself.

Whoa Nellie!!!!! Someone told you to stay away from Marble? Shame on them! First off Marble has been around for 1000s of years. Octavia herself had marble surrounding her when she put on her makeup. Some of the greatest chefs who roamed the planet cooked on Marble. Being Italian I have to say Marble is the way to go. And Greeks, Italinos and NYC cooks can all agree that rolling out dough on a marble surface is a dream. Yes, Marble etches. Yes, Marble can stain and Yes Marble has a reputation for being sensitive. But Marble is BEAUTIFUL. And Marble is not as difficult to care for as most people believe. It can be cleaned with Bleach. Yes, good ole fashioned bleach. I do not mean Comet or one of those powder bleaches. They can scratch. Every 5-10 years have it re-honed or treated by a stone expert. They can buff to perfection. And of course Seal your marble every 6 months. You would have to thie with Blue or Emerald Pearl granite. And you really can't bleach your granite. That could create some ugly whitish looking marks. In a bathroom bleach is a great cleaner and even better with MARBLE. I really think you need to reconsider Marble for your bathroom. Ask the gang over in Kitchens. There are many who love their Marble. And some of these folks use vinegar, lemon, tomato sauce and olive oil which we all know can stain it. These are all from Decorpad... The 100 series has the hybrid tub--stainless steel top & sides and the bottom is polypropelene. It's not a full stainless steel tub just like the Ascenta isn't a full ss tub.

I think I've narrowed it down to two types of flooring for our remodel. I'm torn between Gemcore Shannon and Gemcore Quinn. We're leaning towards Shannon but I can't find photos anywhere. Has anyone installed this and have any photos to share?
