Here is the real issue, the house looks like gray concreate. I think this why the people with the gray house in your photos went with the blocks with "sod" between to break up that look, the stamped concrete is wonderful but it also matches the house and the street. But after doing a mock up, I like the stamped better than the sod.

I would consider changing the color of the front door, and curving the driveway slightly to get away from all the straight lines.

I think the concrete is very bright and may not compliment my place either. It’s funny, I asked the guy what he thought about curving the drive way out too.

Personally the concrete blocks with space between would end up a nightmare of weeds in no time for me. I like the look of classic unstained concrete, but that's just me. I like stamped concrete in smaller applications, but I'm not sure I love it on a driveway.

This is just an idea, but does the whole space have to be paved? Would it be possible to pave two car-width sections and have a planting bed between?

@RLrelocation the front door color is a nice idea. I was gonna extend the porch step to the first croton tree, are you saying to extend to the end of the house based on the drawing?

i would be concerned how well the stamped concrete would hold up. I’ve seen some shabby looking stamped concrere in my area, but maybe it was coated with something, IDK. I have concrete poured in place pavers similar to what you’ve posted, weeds haven’t been an issue.

I’ve seen some bad stamp that’s why it took me so long but I found this one person whose work looks good. The pix I posed is actually both his work

IMO too much driveway for such a small house is there no way to park on the street or have just a single car driveway. I really dislike garages that are too much for a house and the same for driveways. As for the materila for the driveway I would match the stuff on the right and get some huge pots for plants

Cs you send me an example of how you would change my drive way to not have so much drive way. The extended part was added because extended eve back of my house abs added a room and. Family toon and the city fair I was impacting the city so I had to pay a impacting the city fee then they made me extend my driveway three feet to meet the city requirements, so that’s why I gave they extra concrete in the right

I agree about having the drive right to the house but I don’t have any other ideas. I brought the house like this many years ago. I was only in my early 20s so I didn’t know back then

I would like to see a lot less of those red pavers, and a lot more grass in the front. You have some pretty landscaping, and it sounds like you will have a pretty porch. I would want to look at a bit of grass, and maybe a couple of small sized flower trees in that area. Keep the actual drive over where that concrete strip is now.

I would contact a landscaper. Curves would look great and not so much hard scape, especially dark gray. There are so many other choices.

What is hard scape? Do you mean the curve similar to the drawing that the other poster drew for me? Are you say they there are better colors than the gray? The only other color I would like is a lighter gray and the terrazzo tile I don’t want the red anymore.

I wouldn’t want to add too much grass because my front space has so much Grace all the grass you see now is my lane and I can’t take the weed it drives me nuts and we always treating it constantly.

I do like the way the drive way curves out like the pix that relocate did.

Hardscape=sidewalk, driveway, planter boxes etc. I would stick with a light gray adding color is not what we are trying to call attention to but rather away from.

Exposed aggregate/pavers. So many different choices

We have pavers and love it. Nice and modern and clean. We power wash once a year, throw down some weed killer and are done with it. It’s very easy to care for. Can see it in pic below

I say go with what you want to do , they are all lovely. this last photo looks stamped too. on the edges. I think this is a good look, maybe do a stamped pathway and edges with a plain center?

I thought that was kinda cute since everyone things the full stamp would be too much. I just don’t want to make a mistake because once the concrete goes down, it’s a wrap for me. So all the suggestions are welcome

The older stamped driveways I’ve seen do not look good. Where I live pavers are the norm and they look great. I think yours are too red and to flat looking but you could easily find the right ones for your house in a gray tone. If you do concrete an exposed aggregate or sanded finish would look nice. Love the idea of throwing a little curve in!

I have Step stones in the left and right side of the house. How would it look to have a side walk curve on both sides that leads to the back of the house where the gate is

I also posted examples of the plain concrete, like mentioned, but no responses in the plain.

I like the photos with the plain concrete for the drive/park area and the stamped like pavers along the sides and walkway.

Either the ones that have stamped look like brick pavers or larger pavers work for me. Whichever you like best.

There are a few houses in my neighborhood with stamped concrete driveways. I don't know when they were installed but it was before we moved here 12 years ago and they still look good.

But if you are worried then I'd just put it on the border perimeter.
