You will have to wait will be my guess...and all of the lowes are getting it from Pergo itself so yes...none will have any available. Distributors do not carry this product as it is made especially for Lowes. We go through it all the time. A true retailer could have made it happen but Lowes can't. Just kind of the breaks when you deal with box store.

We have had the Pergo XP (Extreme Performance) installed in our house for a few years now, and if I had to do it again, I would have used something else. In my opinion, the XP stands for Extremely Poor. The floor wasn't even installed a week, when a plastic cooler was slid across the floor when filling it to go on a trip, and it scratched the floor in multiple spots. Fixed it with their repair pen, but still quite noticeable. Pergo's website claims: "Designed to withstand scratches, scuffs and pet accidents." We also have pets and had a tinkle accident that we did not see until morning. The flooring had soaked it up and swelled and buckled, etc. We were able to fix with lots of paper towel and a stack of books to weigh it down, but still. We live in Montana, so a flooring product that more or less can't get wet seems a little useless. After all, we live where is snows, rains, etc. Additionally, just 2 days ago I dropped a pair of pliers which chipped a chunk out of the floor. Really???? DANG!!!! That was the last straw. What good is a flooring product that cannot get wet, drop things on, slide things across, etc. Hey Pergo - Life Happens. Next time I plan on putting flooring down in a "controlled environment bubble".... it still wouldn't be Pergo. If you plan on wanting to live on and use the place you plan to put this product, I would have to suggest finding something else to use. This is the most "hands on" maintenance flooring I have ever had. Next project is probably going to be rip this s%@$ out and go with something a little more "life friendly"

Yes, we have the Highland Hickory. I have it in my home office room. I have a chair with plastic wheels on it, and it hasn't made the slightest mark on the floor. My 70 pound Labrador has romped all over it and not a single mark on the floor. We dropped a 10 pound dumbbell on it as a test and it didn't even dent it. The 50 pound one did, but only when we hit it with the sharp edge of the weight. I had a scrap piece that I hit repeatedly with a hammer to tap in the flooring, and you'd never know it to look at that piece. The ONLY thing that made a mark on the floor was when I dropped a drywall saw pointy tip straight down on the floor, and even that was only a slight mark. You wouldn't see it if I didn't point it out to you. We love that room so much that we're going to do our whole house in it. It's awesome!!

I have not only owned but have installed every type of floor out there (well, I never installed wall to wall carpet and I spent a lot of time ripping it out of my houses): tile, full thickness finished in place hardwood, engineered wood of various styles, laminate, sheet vinyl, vinyl planks, ceramic tile, rubber, and cork. Like just about everything else, engineered wood varies in quality and price. Yeah, I put in some cheap as you can get home center stuff and it wore faster than it should. I've got some quality stuff that's been in constant use for a decade and you can't tell it isn't new. Engineered wood is going to be more stable to humidity (in the air) than regular wood floors. In fact, since mine is installed over a radiant heated floor, we decided to go with engineered wood primarily for that matter. Where I don't like wood is in places where you're likely to get a decent amount of water on the floor: kitchen, bath, laundry, and perhaps less than perfect basements. There I've used tile (though I hate that in kitchens because I drop things), rubber (we had industrial rubber slate finish in our kitchen and foyer), and now I'm using the premium Mannington Ardura. I still have some tile accents (a rectangular area under the dining room table, and a border in the living room where my wife sets all her house plants). If you want wood, get wood.
