How to replace a window transom glass & seal?

I have this transom window that has a blown seal (see attached); how can I replace the seal and glass?

Comments (7)There's a difference between glazing replacement (i.e., glass replacement - including a blown seal) and full window replacement (i.e., entire sash and frame). If the seals have blown, you're looking to replace the glass. Comments (4)@cat_ky Yes, the trim board is definitely cracked from years of humidity and moisture freezing on the windows. It's no actual water leak though -- just frost build up. The wood is in better shape than it looks, haha. Having said that, is that material just a backer rod that's been compressed by the trim board? Comments (3)Glazing durometer or glazing "gasket". Single pane or double pane window? Regardless, you will need to deglaze the window from the sash/frame, replace the seal, and reinstall the glass....See MoreFern List

Here's a close up of the transom - it's the seal between the glass. Is this a DIY or pro task ?

Would also appreciate some advice. I have a patio door with same transom above. But my door has the seal bulging on the outside (NOT between panes). Can this be easily fixed? Can it be pushed back in? Thanks
