TV installed on wall behind kitchen wall??
Comments (3)Agreed with all of the above regarding the electrical work. That wall will be tricky as it will have existing electrical from the appliance circuits and/or refridge plus the gas line for the stove (assuming its gas), dishwasher, etc. Be prepared for the electrical contractor to potential move a large portion of the drywall so he can see what he is doing with the new wiring required for install. Replacing drywall will be much cheaper than repairing what's in that wall. If the electrician is not familiar with the AV wiring-- hire a separate AV contractor and ask them to work together on the project....See MoreLiving Room Help - TV Wall
Comments (19)I for one like the dark wall and really really don't like the look of art on either side of the tv. It makes it look like there is a hole between the pictures or like you chos not to hang anything there. I would DEFINITELY invest in a better, longer console like the one Friday pictures, lower and center the TV. the chair is shoved too fare into the corner anyway, I think it needs to go. I like the grouping of plants, maybe one up on the new console to give some hei and contrast w the wall. As a rule I always buy New pillowcases for the pillows that match the sofa-way too much of the same boring color otherwise. You can get some amazing custom designer pillowcases on etsy. I love the gold drapes: something more solid to stand up to the bold wall and sofa :)...See MorePut up white washed paneling, now rest of living room looks off.
Comments (9)Those set of mirrors are doing nothing for the space when you add a feature wall that should be the only feature wall and mirrors should reflect something you want to see twice which those do not do. Is that your front entry right by the desk? I agree new lighting is desperately needed before choosing one more thing. After that all the walls one color will help and a good declutter will be a huge improvement.I kind of like the green but a lot lighter shade of it. Flouresent lighting does no favors at all. Spend some money on new fixtures all LEDs in 4000K will make the whole space feel better and then when you choose a wall color it will look the same all the time.”less is more” is an excellent idea when decluttering...See MoreHelp with kitchen/dining/living area colors
Comments (6)Thanks everyone for your ideas - I think I'm feeling overwhelmed trying to coordinate 3 sections of 1 giant room (last house had separate rooms). We ordered 2 couches - one for where the current couch sits, and one on the wall where currently the recliners sit. A friend of mine has this same model house and has the 2 sofas and they fit well (we need a large square end table in the space where the couches meet - she had one made at the Amish furniture store and that's what we're looking to do). Sofa's are Lazy Boy, Brindle fabric which does have some dark gray/black threads in it. They said November, hopefully it'll be sooner. Amish furniture store is 28 weeks from order. Everything is delayed right now - our cabinets were 2 months late and we're still missing some pieces. Levolor window coverings were ordered before we moved and have all been delayed so we're still using cardboard and blankets almost 2 months after moving in. It's crazy. It seems like most people think black (with wood top) would look good there, including my husband. I wasn't sure how it would look against the dark floor, but the current buffet we have looks okay. We were considering a round table, not sure on that yet. I was also planning on getting 2 black stools for the end of the island that's directly behind the dining table (there's an 11 inch overhang). I'm not sure what other color might work there? I wish we could put a rug under the dining table, but rug large enough to pull chairs out would lap over close to the buffet and might be a tripping hazard for walking between the living room and kitchen. Thanks again everyone, I have lots to think about....See Morejunco East Georgia zone 8a
