It isn’t repairable. You can take a door to a paint store, have it color matched, and touch up with an artists brush. But your not rebuilding that edge. Once it chips, it stays chipped.

Oil based, I'm sure. I clean it with a dry cloth now.. At least seal it so it doesn't spread.

What are we looking at? A shelf inside a cabinet, a drawer front, what?

If it is a shelf, I would remove it from the cabinet and re-install it in reverse. Or replace.

Unfortunately, it is the bottom of the cabinet box of a wall cabinet.

Check IKEA for cabinet bottom mouldings. Also know as light rail moulding. Here is one:

So behind the door when it is closed? I ahd this issue with my sink cabinet and I just bought so L trim in stainless and did that edge with it . I do not see it when the door is closed and makes the edge pretty much chip proof.

We really appreciate ideas! We lost slightly over an inch between the countertop and wall cabinets in this remodel, long story, so those Ikea bottom moldings were too thick - there was simply not enough room to maneuver. I'll look into L trim. Meanwhile, a bit of of white oil based paint to seal it off. I can just see this with the door shut, so if I act now, it will not grow. We are not trying epoxy sanded down, etc. Not everything is DYI.

Now that I am retired and can actually focus on this issue, it is solved. Small clamps could squeeze the tiny gaps shut. I used regular, runny superglue at each tiny crack and the liquid wicked back. I put waxed paper around the glued area and my husband clamped it, then we went on to the next until done. After a couple hours, I removed everything, used 600 grit sandpaper to remove any excess and it looked much better. Then, I used a Q-tip to apply a bit of white oil

paint and the area is sealed, fixed and we can move on.
