Could you please give me the value of this Japanese Tea Set
Comments (1)$5 to perhaps $5,000.. If you were to show the marks on the backs of the pieces and give some history and a better picture of the design we might identify if well enough that you can search for sets that are similar and get an idea of current selling prices....See MoreWhat's the value of this hand painted Japanese tea set?

Comments (9)The style of pottery/porcelain is called Lusterware. The particular copper luster on your pieces was made as early as 1770 in Great Britain. Some luster ware was even imported from Holland, Germany, Italy, Sweden, Denmark, and Belgium. As far as your set, most of the ceramics from 1921 to 1941 are marked either "JAPAN" or "MADE IN JAPAN. Then from 1947-1952 "OCCUPIED JAPAN". "MADE IN OCCUPIED JAPAN","JAPAN"or"MADE IN JAPAN. After 1952 many were paper labels. Of course there are always exceptions and many things came over unmarked. Your particular set is called the Bluebird Design. https://www.pinterest.com/pin/573857177499244177/...See MoreJapanese tea set
