Can anyone help me with an easy fast-growing chicken-safe vine?
Comments (4)I did a google.com search and found tons of sites where chicken growers have great information on this subject: http://www.google.com/webhp?sourceid=chrome-instant&ix=heb&ie=UTF-8&ion=1#hl=en&sclient=psy-ab&q=chicken-safe%20vines&oq=&aq=&aqi=&aql=&gs_l=&pbx=1&fp=3c17bac594aba933&ix=heb&ion=1&bav=on.2,or.r_gc.r_pw.r_qf.,cf.osb&biw=1280&bih=653 Here is a link that might be useful: Vines safe for chicken runs...See MoreHelp me date my vintage stove?
Comments (13)Thank you all so much for your comments. You make me so proud to own this sweet stove! I just finished the renovation on the duplex (three months of sweat, stress, and $$--you all know the story), and I have a good tenant. She likes it but she doesn't loooooove it like I do. I'll leave it there for a year and then move it home to my own (small) kitchen. I am really a newbie in terms of vintage stoves. I know next to nothing, so I appreciate all the links and feedback. Deedles and Circuspeanut: I had no idea that the left rear spot served another function than just holding pots. (Yes, I feel like an idiot.) I can't wait to research the "slow cooker" issue. Thanks. Controlfreakecs: You are right. The very bottom drawer is storage. The door to the left seems to be just an empty place--but isn't that weird? Could it be another oven? I do not see any element inside--just a metal roof. THANK YOU ALL. I adore this stove and hope to move it home soon and keep it forever....See MoreCan anyone tell me about these pie3?
Comments (9)Actually the cabinet looks more like the 30's. The chair appears to be a late 1970's to early 80's "baronial" style chair....or perhaps the real thing that was badly reupholstered. But I think my first idea is good....See MorePlease Help Date a Pie Safe
Comments (15)That's not arsenic green....and the chemical is copper arsenate....also called Paris green....and ti's a yellow green. I'll bet that paint is "Kemtone" an early latex paint. Lead paint really isn't going to kill you....don't sand it without a good mask and clean up any dust with a wet cloth.....and keep your little kids from eating paint chips.... Lead compounds taste sweet.....that's one of the reasons it's so dangerous for kids. And while Paris green was used as an insecticide, any of that pigment in dry paint wont have any affect on bugs.....But I used to be able to get the most wonderful ant killer....it was called Gramma Green's Ant Killer....and it was green. You put a dab on a cotton ball and leave it on your counter over night. the ants crowded around and took it back to the colony and that was the end.....but alas no more! Been outlawed....and DDT took it's place....and that was outlawed and Clorodane took it's place.....and that was outlawed.....don't know what poison is currently used. Back to the cupboard......the sides are probably oak fronted ply wood if the supports are oak. What are those red knobs made of? Wood? Or bakelite?...See MoreSharon Woloshen
