I would istall it with the waste pop up and a soap dispenser on the deck. I do not have the kind of design that can carry a wall mounted faucet. Rococogurl, I completely understand the plastic body with coating versus all metal workings. Some of my cheapo (midpriced) faucets have nicks where the plastic are showing underneath. I have had good luck with Grohe but have not done as well with hansgrohe. How do you use the Dornbracht faucet so you can fill the pot on the counter? Maybe you can't. This to me is the biggest drawback of these pro sprayers that do not extend beyond the 'hose' that is visible. I really like the presence, however. I do not have any uppers on the sink side of kitchen. The sink is in front of a very large window, 6 ft wide or more, so the larger scale would look better from a design point of view. It's just the reach outside of the sink that I am worried about. I think they all reach well within the sink, but I would like it to be able to fill the pot on the counter so I don't have to lift the heavy pot up and out of the sink since I am short. If I fill it on the counter, I can just slide/carry it to the stove. A part of me has an attitude that if it isn't great, replace it in a few years. We tend to "wear out" things. We are hard on our stuff. I am not a great housekeeper and my house cleaner is "hard" on things, I think. They have been with us for 10 years or more and I don't have the heart to look for a new house cleaner. For example, our handheld shower heads get dropped all the time (not sure more by the cleaners or us), so there are cracks on the plastic. It is relatively cheap to get a new shower head for a small pick me up! Why not a faucet! It helps that my DH can replace these things with some ease. (even with an Ivy league PhD, he has his practical uses.) Decisions. Decision. Now that I have put in the cabinet order, I can move onto the faucet and the counter. i also have to decide on the railing system; glass, metal, or cable. A friend of ours is doing their house with all Dornbracht plumbing stuff. Amazing and beautiful! She has the tub filling from the ceiling. Cool, man!

I have a Kohler pull down. You don't have to keep the button pushed in to spray. There's also a feature that allows you to temporarily stop the flow of water by holding in a button, very handy if you're pulling the faucet over to the counter to fill something up and don't want water flowing the whole time. I love it. It wasn't super expensive. I wasn't sure about the high arch profile of this faucet, but it sure provides a lot of maneuvering room beneath it for large pots. I have Sensate and I have had it almost a year. The sensor is in the curve of the neck of the faucet. By raising your hand up into the curve, you will activate the on/off. It doesn't matter where you stand since the sensor is in the curve not facing you, per say. I can stand on the other side of the island to activate the faucet as long as my hand can reach to the curve of the faucet. My hose will go to the bottom of my sink and to the far corner of the shelf of stages 33. I have it center mounted. Once it wasn't behaving quite right. I checked and the plug had come out of the plug just a little because of the long hose hitting it. Once I re-seated the plug, all was well. The spray is very handy/powerful in preparing dishes for the dishwasher and sweeping debris to the disposal. If I cook pasta or potatoes, the heavy steam will activate the sensor, turning it on or off. To avoid that, just press the lever into the off position and there won't be any water until you activate the faucet again using the lever. There is a tiny indicator light on the hand lever that indicates sensor function is on and ready to go. I keep mine off unless I am cooking/cleaning. BTW, amazon has some Kohler on daily deals if anyone is preplanning.

The neighbors in my Nextdoor forum advised to NEVER CLICK on a link sent by a stranger. If I want to do transfer money through Zelle, I go to my bank's website, rather than the link provided by the seller (a scammer). That's how someone got scammed by using the faked link to Zelle provided by the seller, stealing $300 from the buyer. Below are from my Nextdoor forum: "Never Ever sign up for something through a link sent from someone. You sign up for Zelle, not the other way around. I had a similar situation through Face Book Marketplace that they wanted me to pay them through Paypal but use the link they sent me. On FB someone is renting a 3 bedroom 2 bath home for $1K. They require a deposit and first month. Here is the scam. We rent this apt through AirBNB, and they will forward you a link to follow to send them the money. I knew was a scam so I played along. I reported to FB. It's unfortunate, but I have reported more than 20 accounts to Facebook, and they do nothing. Even some of those accounts that are selling newer cars for $1,500 with a Neme like "Mike Rogers" a white fellow, when you look at their friends and pictures, is in reality someone from India, Pakistan, Zimbawe... etc. Never ever click a link from an unknown email, text, or solicitation. Venmo is another method people use to steal your money. It's not like the bank or even PayPal where you can dispute a charge. Never EVER open a link someone has forwarded you. If you need to sign up for something, go directly to the biz page yourself and sign up. You can usually hover over the link itself to see the web address or if you do click on it, you can see the actual address it sent you to is not legit, even if the page looks to be." I just had someone try the scam on me. They said that they sent me $400 via Zelle but I needed to click on a link in the email to increase my Zelle limit to $700 then I would just send them back $300. I called him out on it and he stopped responding. This guy's name is Kayden Light. Beware folks! Scammers are out in full force now." The above are reports from my Nextdoor forum in my Chicago suburb.
