While every monitor renders differently (than each other or reality), I think I like the far right one the best. It seems close to the overall shade of the tile (mostly picking up on the lighter tone from the transparency) and seems to have the right balance of coolness/warmth to go with the tile. I like the second from the left a close second best. It seems a little darker and seems to blend well with the tile. I wonder if it has a little bit of an green hue? If not, then I think this one would work really well too. The far left seems too cool/blue for your tile. The middle one seems too dark. And the second from the right seems too light. I think you're automatically going to get some contrast because the tile seems to look a little lighter in the center (presumably from the transparency of the glass) and will already help highlight the beautiful herringbone pattern.

We used TEC Silverado with our white subway tiles in the bathroom. It made a nice, subtle contrast and complements the marble floor and counter. In the kitchen we used TEC Pearl with our white subway tiles because we wanted to emphasize a warm beige rather than cool gray tone. It provides just the right amount of contrast with the tiles to make them pop a little bit. Five months after the tile was installed, the grout now looks a bit lighter to me than in these pictures.

mariofo no it isn't crema marfil, it is a natural stone called pearl honed. The picture actually shows the tile to be a shade lighter than what it is in person. The tile place is recommending a color called straw which is a little dark. I wan't to keep the backsplash on the light side and was looking for a color a little lighter that doesn't have a grey or pink cast to them. How did you do the test the day before on extra tiles, did you mix and put some on the tile??

Thanks J Hack.......it has both gray and brown in it with a strong lean to earthtones, which I think will allow me some flexibility when making color changes to the room. I was thinking of using a light grout color, but wondered if it would look okay between the accent or be to stark.
