I like them, but I'm not sure if I love them.... @ :Having green in my kitchen was my sister's idea, and it took a little time to be okay with the thought until I saw the glass green tile. Still, I've had reservations. Do I wear green? Not so much. FYI, if it says anything, I have dark espresso hardwood floors; Coir color walls in living room; bathrooms with ivory travertine floors and walls and espresso shaker style cabinets and caesarstone countertops (Behr brand, I think; khaki/tan with a green tone); and pottery barn looking bedrooms for the kids and my husband and me. ~ Below are some better photos. In the lower photo, you will see the a sample of the caesarstone jerusalem sand, the mini light green subway tile accent I was thinking about using (third one from the bottom) and the crisp white 3 x 6 subway tile sample (third from the bottom...originally, I was going to use barely beige). Do the clearer photos change your thoughts about our design which includes white cabinets and stainless steel appliances? Or, do you think I should go with the classic white look, maybe with all white subway tiles? I just want my kitchen to be beautiful, clean and crisp, yet with some warmth, and be worth the money spent. Saltlife- I-N-I!! woot woot! Thanks for the encouragement. White Dove is high on my list to look at for cabinet colors. I am definitely wanting to bring in texture to the space. I love the fabric on the couch in my inspiration room. Raee- Simply White is another white I've made note of in many of my houzz inspiration rooms. Thanks! Rosie- notes taken, we are having some built ins on each side of the stone to ceiling fireplace. One side will likely have book shelves, check :) Ruby- the hardware color is giving me fits....at first I was set on black/orb....but I think I will get less tired of a silver color over the long hall. I'm still a bit undecided as to which direction to go in....I like them both. EAM44- Thankfully my builder has an interior designer on staff to help me make the paint choices....but I will say that I am very familiar with Chestertown Buff as we have it in our current family room and love it. It looks much more yellow and very similar to my inspiration room as compared to the swatch you posted (at least in south facing natural daylight) BUT I am open to other colors perhaps a little more cleaner than CB. We also have Hawthorne Yellow our current kitchen and it's "too" yellow for what I'm after. Unfortunately the inspiration room used a custom color that I'm unlikely to be able to replicate perfectly. I looked at Elephant Breath (SW I think), Revere Pewter by BM, and couple others. They looked just great when put on the horizontal surface; the moment I turned the painted samples vertically as kitchen cabinets would ultimately be, they lost their warmth and seemed much cooler and dull, in any light-inside the house and in the full sun outside. I ended up looking at 14(!) samples taking them around the house and checking them in different lights and times of a day. In the end, I went with a custom color that I happened to stumble upon in our carpenter's shop. It was a formula that was mixed by some designer for a very high end kitchen in Malibu..It turned out to be wonderful. The cabinets are installed and make me happy each time I look at them. But it's not gray. I don't even know what I should call this color. I just know I like it lol. Get samples; you never know how a color would behave until you try it. It will be tiresome; but ultimately you will be pleased with your choice.

Let’s hope that your custom cabinet maker uses a conversion varnish, custom matched to BM colors. And sprays in a clean room, not slapping on housepaint on site with bugs and dust. That’s what a fake custom guy does. A true custom guy controls the end result from wood sourcing, through finishing, through install Start to finish. Chantilly Lace is a bright neutral white that goes with anything, warm or cool.
