Mango Lychee Bloom Update
Comments (21)I have noticed lots of honey bees in the yard this year...seems more than usual. I'm with Gerry on the best overall fragrance being citrus blooms. I tolerate mango bloom smell and like lychee bloom smell. Its amazing to go out at night to see the number of moths with "glow in the dark" eyes that frequent the mango blooms, especially. The potential pollinators for mangoes here in Florida are incredibly diverse. I have seen many types of beetles, flies, lacewings, bees, wasps, moths, and butterflies. Honey bees are not supposed to be significant pollinators of mango, but this year I have found otherwise. Harry Harry...See MoreBlissful Butters!
Comments (43)I so wanted a cat seeing your photos of adorable Butters! Then I saw the shredded sofa photos, LOL. We will some day get a cat but our current dogs are not cat-friendly. Way in the future (since I expect my dogs to live another 15 years, yes I am an optimist since they are 14) I will get a dog that likes cats so I can have both....See MoreNew mattress update.
Comments (21)Yes, it is foam. (My first go with a foam mattress.) IMO, it sleeps a bit warmer than an inner spring mattress but not what I would call 'hot'. For the first few months, I did have a foam topper on it. Reason for that was because it was a bit more firm than what I was used to and because I already had the topper that I had used on the prior mattresses (actually a 'temporary' air bed until I found a replacement for the inner spring mattress that was awful & got tossed.) Sometime this spring, I removed the topper because with the topper, it did sleep too hot. Much cooler without... Anyway, I do hope this new bed works out for you. As you can tell, I've had my full share of mattress woes, too! Really sucks to wake up feeling worse than what you did when you went to bed the night before. I had been leery of foam mattresses but decided to go with Hot Rod's recommendation of the Wayfair mattress because of his endorsement & it being a cheap gamble....See MoreWhat, only Jinx was missed? :( :(
Comments (42)Need simple medical advice. But first.... Outside, I did use Flonase daily for my runny nose, but I wasn't diligent. My DIL, an RN said to stop until the nose is healed, and it can also mess with the ointment. So I did & took one Zyrtec, non decongestant, yesterday and the nose has stopped running. That really irritates it. I also read on several websites the same thing DIL said. TJ, after having this for four days before any medical treatment, the day after using Mucipirosin the Furbuncle...aka boil and I don't know who came up with that name!, went down the next day and it was at a full head of stuff. I did a happy dance until another one showed up right next to it. I should be an ENT because I've been looking inside nostrils all day long. lol. Yes. mine is bad, I have a Carbuncle, i'm on the floor LOL, which is more than one boil side by side. Which is more staph. I think there were only two because the new one appeared the day after the first one emptied. The 2nd one shrunk and both are crusted which is good I assume. There are a couple of serious side efffects I'm praying I don't get. Okay Nurses! I have done so much reading on Nasal Vestibulitis and nowhere did it say fever, chills, and fatigue. I've had a low grade fever for three weeks, going up and down which I read is good because that's my body fighting it. Last night I had a mild chills. Severe fatigue but I already had that but it was getting better before this nonsense. After reading more, I discovered if you have Carbuncles you will develop those symptoms. Yes! Today was the first time I woke up pain free, meaning the only pain was inside the nose, it wasn't hurting otherwise. Happy! No fever all moring, good news. Yesterday I ran a 99 around 9:30 am. This afternoon the fever came back to 99.1, then went down on it's own an hour later. My question to you all and a comment on bedding, is in next reply coming right up!...See MoreJilly
