Comments (2)I would say that faux finishes are not in vogue anymore. If you still want wallpaper in a high traffic area how a textured one like grass cloth or similar? You might want to look on houzz.com for ideas. You can type in just about any search word and get pages of pictures....See MoreWhat Do I Need To Know About Throwing A House Warming

Comments (22)It's called an automatic transfer switch that automatically changes the power source when the electricity goes off, and back off when the electricity comes back on. Otherwise, you'd have to go outside and turn the generator on manually. We've had Generac whole house natural gas generators in our last three houses (almost 30yrs) with no issues. That said, our generator installer/maintenance guy has changed his preference to Kohler. You will need an electrician to move the power you want to run with the generator over to the transfer switch after the switch box is installed. The newer generators come in housing that is quieter than years past. Just don't put it near your master bedroom. They are set to test once a week, and it's important to have them set the testing day/time to a day/time when you are usually home so you will know it's working properly. Ours have all been installed by the same man. He started his own company about 10 years ago and we went with him. He also does maintenance twice a year under a maintenance contract. These maintenance visits are important to check the equipment and make any repairs/maintenance. I don't know that having a maintenance agreement with him gets him out faster than if we didn't have one... but the times we have needed him, he comes quickly....See MoreWhat do I need to know about wheelchairs?
Comments (25)I have a rollator, a walker where I can sit down. But it can't be moved while I am sitting. I was looking into wheelchairs for myself (but the rollator fulfills all my current needs) and one thing I kept seeing mentioned it that a professional set of measurements should be taken, as an off measurement can cause a lot of discomfort. Ded tired I think you are wise to look into this now. Not only the rising costs of materials might make future purchases more expensive, but a custom ordered wheelchair from the custom measurements can take a while to get delivered, having one ready in case of the sudden need that may arise for some seniors is a kindness....See MoreK R
