I think your room is perfectly suited to such a layout. Even a small bar cart or wine chest on that end of the room would help define the space. It's a look I would have done in my own living room had I been able to bear the thought of giving up my very comfortable sofa where I sit in front of my windows every day!

congrats on your new condo! she is lovely in and out. Well, I am sure we could help you make the inside look more like the outside. but i have to say the inside looks just like newly built houses. so that is more your choice i think. and perhaps you just want to use what you have and add a few pieces that will give you more of the look you want, but it does not have to match the exterior. you mentioned a lot of pics from around the world, I am guessing you want to know how to use. I have collected some idea. the one thing that is universal is using the same color frames. you can use varied but you have to have more skills to make it work.in a black frameanother external frame main subject in center bits of subject around.this is a set of family pics in a format.

Without seeing photos of the room, I’d say put the tv on the 13 ft. Wall and the sectional against the other long wall with the other side with its back toward the stairs. Is that squiggly line a window? A single chair might fit between the sectional and the room that has a d in it. Coffee table in front of the sectional, end table with lamp in the corner where the two long walls meet. Maybe a floor lamp where the sectional halves meet, an arc lamp if your style will support it. photos of the space would help. If you make furniture templates to scale you can rearrange them on the plan without straining your back or making purchases that don’t work.

I agree with CDR's thoughts on furniture placement. You could use a linear electric fireplace like this with the t.v. mounted above it. I think they're much nicer looking than something with a mantle. It's clean and modern looking. Just be sure the fireplace is longer than the t.v. or it will look out of balance. If you put a sofa table behind the sofa in the bay window, it will keep the sofa pulled away from the baseboard heaters well enough for the heat to circulate. Then you can add a couple of lamps for ambient lighting. Two chairs (swivel are nice for going between conversation and t.v. watching) with a table between them for drinks and an area rug to pull it all together. You'll want to add art where the candle holder is on the wall I think, to add some life and color to the space. Keep the furniture smaller and with feet so it doesn't overwhelm the smaller space.
