You don't have to have a Target card to have Circle. I think I got it through the app.

The last thing I bought at Target was a Paula Dean saucepan, and that was before her scandal, which will give you an idea of how often I shop there. I do have to drive past it on La Cienega to get home sometimes, but the parking lot is so huge that I dare not enter.

I've only bought kitchen items at Target, from what I can remember. I bought my crockpot there also, but that was decades ago, and I've only used it a couple of times.

I used to love shopping at Target before they started to remodel the stores and reinvent themselves into a more so called upscale experience. They used to pride themselves on being a quiet store without background music saying it allowed their customers to shop distraction free. They prided themselves on being the cutting edge of hiring people with disabilities and using same in their ads etc. Were one of the first stores to widen their aisles for those with physical disabilities. With my hearing issues it was my safe, relatively quiet place to shop. Well no more. Horrid annoying music everywhere you turn. The stupid maze layout of modern stores that make one crisscross the entire store to pick up 3 items. The employees have no control over what is played. it's all corporate, apparently run but be marketers fresh out of college and clueless. They wanted to draw youth and toss the middle class middle aged and older shopper. Well by the looks of it they didn't succeed. The stores are nowhere near as busy.

I still run in and out when I need something they carry but my meandering days in Target are over. I used to easily spend several hundred dollars a month on my Red Card, now I rarely go over a hundred and some n months zero to a lot less. I rush in and out and I find some stores to be just a bit less annoying and I try to plan to stop at those when possible.

I predict they will go the way of Kmart eventually and start closing stores. Shouldn't have tried to fix what wasn't broken. They're losing their base to Walmart.

I have haven’t done much Target shopping except online for free delivery and curbside pick-up which is very easy with their app. I won’t ever shop walmart, so don’t know how the crowds compare, but here, Target is super busy. I don’t think they are in any danger of going the way of kmart, lol.

I only posted this, not to promote Target, but to make people aware of some good freebies if they happen to shop there anyway.

I think Target's move to having better merchandise, seemingly better run stores and cleaner/brighter facilities are but a few of probably many reasons why they're still around and doing well at the same time that K-Mart folded.

I've never noticed music playing in Target. Maybe it's local to your store.

If you like a store but don't like its music selection, how about earplugs or turning down hearing aids?

I see the little beta boy is still trolling my comments again. How about you stop displaying your vast ignorance about hearing loss and so many other things you stick your nose in? For someone who likes to present yourself as knowledgeable you sure like to make yourself look foolish.

I love Target. Before covid, I'd go every week. Now I go every few weeks. My store plays no music, has interesting items in the decorative area, and has friendly, helpful associates. My Target is always jammed so I try to go at odd hours. Our Kmart closed a few years ago and it was the most depressing store I was ever in. Even the employees looked depressed. I don't think they ever remodeled and the difference to Target a few miles down the road was staggering. I won't set foot in a Walmart even though we have two...a mega store and a smaller one.

Sadly, I believe Kmart was the victim of vulture capitalism, like a number of other formerly successful retail giants. They hooked up with Sears, which also was run into the ground by bad management.

Can't recall ever hearing any music at our local Target either. The only thing I ever hear are announcements.

Shopping inside any local Walmart store is a nightmare, in comparison.

Might I also suggest "The Morning Show" while you have free Apple TV? I got totally hooked!

Try saying something worthwhile and refrain from insults. My comment was of the "see a problem, fix a problem" variety and was not personal in nature.

I think the apology would have been for "anyone" wearing a hearing aid, you included. It was NOT meant as a personal jab if I understand correctly.

Personal jabs bounce off me. Especially considering the source. But since I was the one that brought up the issue of the noise and the distress it causes me and others with my condition ,every one knows darn well who the fool was addressing.

Those who profess to be knowledgeable all the time should also know when to keep quiet about things they are clueless about.
