Comments (10)Well if you want to maintain the Bermuda that you seed, google the Bermuda Bible and it will help you out as far as caring for it. Highlights are, mowing low 1.5-2" for common Bermuda, deep infrequent watering (1" per week all at once when temp is in the 90's), fertilize with high nitrogen fertilizer monthly. This will choke out your st. Augustine and Bermuda will eventually take over. For seeding, you have a couple of options. Either round up entire yard and broadcast seeds a few weeks later, or you can scalp the yard as close as possible to dirt and broadcast seeds. Scalping the yard can yield less Bermuda to sprout because some of the seeds may be shaded by the sun. But if you get some of the Bermuda to sprout, you will be ok, because it will spread fast. If you have pretty thick St. Augustine, results may be even less. Not so much in the rye area, because the blades are thin. Make sure to keep the soil moist, but not saturated after seeding. I ran my sprinkler for about 3min. 4 times a day to keep the ground moist. Also use a starter fertilizer when you seed as well. Hope that helps as a start for you....See MoreSeeking Recommendations for Good Fabrictors in Dallas-Fort Worth Area
Comments (3)We are also getting ready to put in new kitchen and bathroom counters, but we have pretty much decided to go with recycled glass counters. There are two companies/brands we are considering -- Vetrazzo and IceStone. Both will be able to direct you to certified fabricators in your area....See Morededtired
