My front foyer/hallway connects right into my kitchen. I have gray carpeted stairs off my foyer and I've chosen Athena (858), which i think may be the same color as BM Pale Oak, for the staircase walls and Chantilly Lace for the trim on my staircase and foyer/front hallway. As you can see from the pic, the front hallway comes right into my kitchen which has whitewashed maple cabinets. The hallway wall will be Athena, but I don't want to paint the kitchen walls Athena since i think it will look boring and dull. My natural lighting is also poor (faces North). I'm also challenged by a funky colored tiled hallway floor. Does anyone have a suggestion for a kitchen wall color? I lean towards neutral colors and i also need to feel some brightness as well. (right now all my walls are BM Linen White and that seems like too stark a contrast with the Athena) My painter is coming in 2 weeks and i'm paralyzed by this decision! Any suggestions are welcomed!!
