chrome vs brushed nickel?
Comments (9)I always choose chrome. It's the one constant when it comes to plumbing fixture fashion. Other finishes come and go, but chrome is always a classic look....and always up to date. An added plus is that it's almost always less expensive that whatever is the fashionable finish du jour. While chrome might not be the most fashionable finish of the day, chrome is NEVER out of fashion, either. It's timeless. Other finishes often seem to need all sorts of special cleaners or polishing compounds....Fooey! Chrome never needs more than a swipe with a damp cloth and a quick wipe with a dry soft cloth. What more can you ask for?...See Morechrome vs. brushed nickel
Comments (15)Knelly great faucet choice. When we were doing the bathroom three yrs ago we thought about nickel. However we were also talked out of it by our designer for the same reason. Friends of ours had very expensive nickel fixtures in their bathroom and we really liked them because at the time it was different. I am glad that we took the advice of our designer because after a few years all of the shower heads and faucets in our friends bathroom have (IMO) tarnished. It reminds me of how brass turns. They love patina so its not a problem for them. We like a clean look especially in a bathroom. If we had seen the combination of finishes like Knelly has we may have gone that route. I don't think it was available at the time because we shopped plumbing fixtures to death....See MoreChrome vs SS vs Brushed Nickel for faucets, etc.
Comments (5)i chose chrome for faucet and potfiller. for the exact reason you stated. more timeless.... and finally something i wanted was the cheaper version of itself. it's also attractive. i like shiny things. i'm a crow like that. my appliances are ss and i have white cabs, black and white tile floor on diagonal, and wicked white granite on island, absolute black on perimeter. white subway tile bs....See MoreDo you have chrome and brushed nickel in your bathroom?
Comments (13)We aren't doing a full remodel so the tub and shower plumbing isn't being changed. That is chrome. I love the shower head and afraid new ones wouldn't provide as good a shower. Lighting is already purchased and that is brushed nickel. The sink faucet, accessories, and vanity hardware will be replaced. Also a quartz top (Viatera Minuet or similar) and new sink. I thought chrome for faucets is a more durable finish. So right now if I go brushed nickel with everything new, the tub shower will still be chrome. The other thought was just plumbing in chrome and all else brushed nickel. Those are the 2 options I am thinking but open to more ideas and feedback on these. Thanks....See Morejkent9024
