Not crazy about moving it to the far "east" side of the room. Once the third window on the "west" wall is eliminated and the style of all windows is unified, I think you can center the bed on either wall. Some people move their furniture a couple of times a year when seasons change. I like the view of my red maple in fall and my alley of hawthorns in the spring, so moving the bed location twice a year works for me. I don't have electronics in the bedroom though and you may have TV to consider. Don't forget the symmetry issue, even from outside.

What do you plan to do while sitting in those chairs? I've never thought to hang out in the bedroom, so think about if you even need a sitting area.

If you rearrange the bathroom so that the door is nearer the bedroom door, you have a corner for a chair, and a shorter walk between bathroom and closet in the morning.

I've known bedrooms with seating and the owners rarely used them. But, a chair is nice for the throw pillows from the bed.

We use our bedroom chairs. I’d put the bed where I circled in red. Then you both still can access the bathroom and see who’s coming into the room

And we can view our lake from the bedroom that’s why we arranged it so we have the chairs there

I think the OP reversed dimensions -- the door and bed are on 19-ft walls, I believe. I'd arrange windows as in your second post, so that chairs are by window, not at the foot of the bed.

From what I can see, I'm not a fan of the bathroom, especially with it opening into the bedroom so if ones partner goes at night, the other will be blinded by the light. And I personally wouldn't want to walk through the room to get from the bathroom to the closet. I prefer them next to one another.

Additionally why would you have a toilet up against the bedroom wall? So someone sleeping can hear all the "music"?

How large is the overall house? I ask because that's a fairly large master bedroom.

Now to answer your question, I wouldn't want it off center but then again, I wouldn't want such a large master bedroom either since I spend very little time in my bedroom.

I agree with Lisa above. I think the chairs nearer the entrance and closet make more sense. They are a place to put things down on entry, and sit to put on or remove shoes if needed. Not so much all the way across the room. At the foot of the bed, what are they looking at? A bathroom wall? I also think this has the advantage of showcasing the size of the room. If you enter basically on top of the bed, it will feel small even if there is space to the west.

Oh, i just realized the closet we can see is not for this bedroom. So So, the closet is through the bathroom? ugh. Oh well.

Yes, that closet is for a different bedroom. Here is the master bedroom and bathroom floor plan. I'm leaning toward centering the bed. You'll still have room for a bench or small loveseat at the foot of the bed. The extra space on the sides could be used for dressers.

Better bed placement and coming into seating area when enter. Probably tight separation between neighbor house to the left, so smaller windows or transom above bed. Back wall allows unlimited combinations of windows/doors to backyard. 19' sure is long.

Proven that most secure, restful sleep is attained when the bed is directly opposite the door as much as possible. Clerestory windows work over a bed if you want it on the non-view or neighbor's side of the room.

The best houses do not put closets on outside corners of a house and especially not on a south wall which is the best exposure for passive solar heating/cooling, Just poor.

Plus having to walk through the bathroom just to get something out of the closet is poor.

As is the toilet against the bedroom wall.

As is the L shaped vanities.

Bigger isn't always better and I'm sorry to say this case does prove it.

You could arrange the windows so that the bed can be placed on either wall. Our house seems to want the bed on one wall, but when you roll over you'd be looking into the bathroom. So we, like the previous owners, put the bed on another wall, with the double window behind the bed.
