Based on your description and the link below on other items made by the same manufacturer...I'd say your percolator dates from 1930-1950 give or take 5 years in either direction. Scroll down the page on the link below until you see a ship's clock...the paragraph below references United Metal Goods. There was also a metal horse clock that sold recently on E-bay ascribed to the same manufacturer...that seller noted "Early 1900's" which is a little vague. Red, It might have helped if I had said to cut 2 strips of fabric 2 1/4" wide and 16 1/4" long. 1 for each side of frame. Yes, fuse fleece to wrong sides of fabric casings. Turn under 1/2"(wrong sides together-- fleece to fleece) on each end of long strips and fuse with scraps of fusible web. So the 16 1/4" long casing is now 15 1/4" long. Turning under the ends gives the ends of the casings a finished look. Fold casings in half lengthwise matching edges and sew with 1/4" seam. This just keeps the edges together when sewing casings to the top edges of the purse .When folded the casings will be 1 1/8" wide and 15 1/2" long. Pin straps to out side of purse (right sides together)where you want them and sew with 1/4" seam. This I suppose is just to reinforce the straps to the purse. Pin casings to each side of purse right sides together,centering the center of casing with the center of purse and raw edges even .Then pin the lining over the casings right sides together raw edges even and sew with 1/4" seam. Turn lining to the inside of purse and topstitch close to lower egde of casings .Slide frames into casings matching opposite ends of frames and insert rivets. Rivets are metal pins used to hold the ends of the frames together. The frame casings do not extend all the way around the top edge of the purse because the frames stick out on each end where the hinges are pinned together. I hope this doesn't confuse you more. I made several similar hangers for a friends garage---flat iron stock cut and welded to make the mounts, holes drilled for the 3/4" rebar cross piece, and 1/4"(or 3/16") cold rolled round stock bent as hooks. Then painted. Take that picture to any welding shop and they can make theose up is a half hour or less.

The chefs behind these sugary fried treats say success depends on the batter, which insulates the fried object from direct contact with the oil. If the batter is done right, it will become an edible shell and protect its the melted innards. Shirley London shared the recipe for her deep-fried Oreo cookie treat with Good Morning America. Ingredients 1 cup buttermilk pancake mix 3/4 cup ice water 1 quart vegetable oil 1 sleeve of Oreo cookies (14 each) 2 tablespoons confectioners sugar Directions 1. Freeze cookies for 3 hours. 2. In a heavy-gauge 3-quart saucepot heat oil to 350 degrees F. 3. While oil is heating, set up a sheetpan with paper towels for draining. 4. In a medium-sized mixing bowl stir water into buttermilk pancake mix with a wooden spoon until thoroughly combined. As soon as batter is smooth, dip each cookie, one at a time, into batter and smooth batter, making a thin coat completely around the cookie. Place coated cookie carefully into hot oil. Repeat for each cookie. Fry on both sides, turning over once until golden brown. 5. Remove fried cookie from hot oil with metal tongs and drain on paper towels. Dust with confectioners sugar. 6.
