White color that goes well with wood?

Hello!

weve decided to paint our cabin walls and trim a white and the cabinets a dark green/blue.

would love your recommendations on a white paint color that would go well with wood- a creamy white instead of a gray white.

Also, any rec’s on a dark blue/green paint color for the cabinets? we are still debating if we should paint uppers and lowers the same color or have the uppers be a white color.

lorriekay- I agree that the trim and wainscotting should be the same color and I would vote for the cream. I am putting up BM White Marigold as trim in the LR, BM Pine Grove and kitchen F&B Sudbury Yellow with a rusty red hutch. There is a green undertone in the White Marigold, which I think would look better with your colors than a tan undertone cream. But I am no color expert, so take it FWIW. sloyd thanks for the suggestions but I don't think those will work for me - most are too dark for this space which is a long rectangle with windows only at the far end (townhouse). THe lighter ones have green undertones and while I like green it doesn't look good with the warm red and the browns in our scheme, I think. I guess I am looking for a white with warm udnertones or a cream that is not "buttery".

Such a nice space! All that wood is going to boss around your decorating. You are smart to try to work with it instead of fight it with cool colors. I think orange is definitely out as an accent color. It is just going to enhance the orange tones of the wood. I would consider painting all the doors in the dining space, it will make the space look less chopped up. I saw on another thread that you are replacing the kitchen floor. Have you considered a slate look tile with faint brown accents? Your floor will have a nice clean look and the accents will work with the wood and will look good with your taupe cabinets. Daltile porcelain slate.

Some other greens below.
But you should sample them all in your space. I’d love to see a cream color with an almost navy blue/ green color if that makes sense.

Your interior is pretty busy looking. I wouldn't mix it up too much. Everywhere that is greenish now I would change to Crisp Romaine.

The issue that I see is that you have the rich wood tones with the pink/taupe undertones in the flooring and backsplash (assume counter top as well, but can't see it very well).

I love a rich creamy white with the wood, but that will make your pink undertones scream pink.

If you go too taupe/pink it will look wrong next to your wood.

You are going to have to test quite a few whites to get to that balance that works with both.

I get loving color, I do love some deep saturated color, but you already have the deep, saturated wood and too bright is going to fight with the wood.

Here are a couple of mock ups.

This is SW Jasper Stone and creamy. Do you see how pink your backsplash looks? Do you see how the brighter color is competing with the wood?

This is Everyday White and Acacia Haze. The white is not great with the wood, but not terrible and doesn't make the backsplash scream pink.

I thought about using a brighter white - might be a good answer, but not sure if it is too stark (Ibis White with Acacia Haze.

I like the mid tone cabinet color, but tested one that is lighter and one that is darker so I am sharing.

White Flour by SW is warm white that would work good with wood.

Your mock-up was nice, and might be ok if area has a "lite" touch with colors that are also softer...

coincidence I just saved this - dark cabinets, but front of chairs are a medium-neutral green.

How rustic do you like your house to be? darker, deeper, seems more rustic with the amount of wood.

I have a lot of wood too and used SW Natural Choice. What do you mean by trim? Baseboards? Moulding around windows? Please post an after photo! Thanks and good luck!
