Kitchen ideas- with no upper cabinets or shelves

You are removing a lot of storage with no uppers and the peninsula removed. I would not think that will work for just any homeowner.

i have a walkin pantry and its a big kitchen. removing the peninsula would flow better to the views and i dont really have upper cabinets as it is- only the breakfast station. i hate the dust ontop of the cabinets.

Also own a large bar- so all wine glasses etc are store there.

I would do an undercounter oven, but not under the cooktop. I did this in our first house, and the oven was to the right of cooktop. No reason to stand in front of a hot stove or have handle/knobs in the way.

On the wall to the right of the brick opening, I would do a floor to ceiling cabinet as deep as you can (without interfering with steps) with adjustable shelves. This can be used for all your dishes, glassware and anything else you need to store. Pantry will be for food. Can your small appliances go in the pantry also? Don't know the depth, but you could do counter with small appliances to keep them out of kitchen.

if you are leaving all the walls free of cabinets I'd definitely tuck the fridge in the other side. Its an eyesore on window wall....change that... tile all the walls then if thats what you want...or tile up 2/3 the way and lighter painted surfaces above and for the ceiling. you can do some directional sconce light fixtures placed strategically along the wall areas...could be a nice accent and get the light directed down where you can use it. I think painted cabs in a color could be considered against the floor tile choice and WITH hardware isn't overkill. On one side or the other of the space pull cabs out a bit for deeper counters.....useful. I can see the aesthetic you want and you'll have to explore a stainless hood w venting out. [is this a condo building?] I would start to calculate which sizes/drawer stacks/ and calculate your budget. I wouldnt stick in any vertical pantry cabs unless a very narrow one [15-18 in] next to fridge on the non window side...you have a pantry and you have a certain look you seek.

Moving the fridge to other wall is an great idea.
