Stone Palace Daylilies

It's impossible to search Houzz anymore, but I know that people have posted pics of Stone Palace cultivars. I wonder if people would share which ones have been satisfying, or not so.

Just a Mirage Seems to grow well. Too early to evaluate. The coloration was interesting, but not particularly exciting. First year to see it.

A bonus with Hey Soul Sister, which I got because of Nancy's recommendation (although she pooh poohed others she got). This one had exciting blooms in a pot, but pot blooms can be deceptive (and of course no evaluation of garden performance). SP Ecstasy

Houzz messages still work as far as I know. Debra has turned off messaging I believe. I messaged her recently.

Here are the two Stone Palace daylilies I have, Trailblazer and Divine. They have been in my garden for three full blooming seasons. They were/ are growing in a good spot here, not a great spot. I have been really happy with Divine. It has increased nicely and the bloom size and scape height are close to the registration. I moved Trailblazer to sunnier spot last fall, this season its blooms reached registration size and the patterning was better. Trailblazer hasnt done as well but I’m guessing that is because of the less than ideal setting it was in. I’ m hoping for better things this season.

Sherry and I are the ones with Stone Palace daylilies. I have Stone Palace Rejoice. It's a good performer and a reliable rebloomer, but I don't care for the color. I've tried to give it away but haven't had any takers.

This is one plant that I've never had long-term anywhere - nowhere near 12 years! Have tried them several times in different yards in OH, and my Mom has had no luck with them here in AL. I think think they are just more picky than a lot of other plants, about light, moisture, and everything. If it is not completely happy, it just won't make it. Sounds like your 2 that died had some slight difference at some critical point. Figuring out what it was... well, good luck :+) Were they all equally happy/healthy looking last fall? Hope this wasn't part of a "formal" or symmetrical display. If not, just bask in the excitement of your 2 "new" spots to play with.

I've had color combinations similar to Bluegrass Memories and they did not like our high heat. Yours apparently loves you since the move.....Mary's Baby is another one enjoying your garden. She is not a fast grower, but she is steady. In a few years she should be at peak performance.....I couldn't get over how well Orange Smoothie did for me this year. Here's hoping it picks up stamina for you too..............Maryl

Wonderful clumps! My favorites are Zuzu and Sailor Sky. I can look at different charts to find my zone slightly different. I don't think there is one set authority of what zones are labeled as. Of course if you had lived in the middle ages, you'd probably have been in something like zone 3. Greenland was farmed and quite lush back then.

I bought Stone Palace Rejoice on the Lily Auction. Strange message notification. It isn't in Spanish. Is that Italian?

I can see that Divine is out of Just a Mirage. Well, maybe Nan will also chime in. I know she bought a few that she later discarded, but has been delighted with Hey Soul Sister.

Besides Hey Soul Sister, we have grown only two others, Stone Palace Spotlight and Monarch's Throne. Stone Palace Spotlight didn't do well for us. We did like the purple with the applique throat. Monarch's Throne is a great grower even though it is evergreen. The flower is large, but the color didn't wow us. We love orange, but it just wasn't bright enough even for Bob so in the interest of keeping our numbers in check, we let it go. Houzz is not letting me post pictures.
