Comments (10)This is one plant that I've never had long-term anywhere - nowhere near 12 years! Have tried them several times in different yards in OH, and my Mom has had no luck with them here in AL. I think think they are just more picky than a lot of other plants, about light, moisture, and everything. If it is not completely happy, it just won't make it. Sounds like your 2 that died had some slight difference at some critical point. Figuring out what it was... well, good luck :+) Were they all equally happy/healthy looking last fall? Yours apparently loves you since the move.....Mary's Baby is another one enjoying your garden. She is not a fast grower, but she is steady. In a few years she should be at peak performance.....I couldn't get over how well Orange Smoothie did for me this year. Comments (8)Wonderful clumps! My favorites are Zuzu and Sailor Sky. I can look at different charts to find my zone slightly different. I don't think there is one set authority of what zones are labeled as. Of course if you had lived in the middle ages, you'd probably have been in something like zone 3.
