mineral spirits used on new UV lacquer floor- freaking out!

I purchased wide plank white oak engineered wood flooring ( from ADM flooring) that was factory finished in a matte UV lacquer - I think Bona. I saw my installers cleaning residue / glue with mineral spirits at the very end of the job wiping in a circular motion using a rag. They did not ask me ahead of time but said this is standard and they do it on every job. I checked with the supplier ADM flooring and they said this is not recommended because the finish can get discolored and an adhesive remover should be used. I think the floors look okay, maybe just dirty but I want to make sure they did not cause some lasting damage to the finish. Are mineral spirits a standard chemical used on new flooring!?? Without even asking? Thanks !
