replacing panel ready dishwasher

I have a panel for a dishwasher that was 239/16 wide by 32 1/16 tall. The new Bosches are 23 9/16 wide by 33 7/8 tall. Is that going to work? Should it still fit under my countertop?

I have no idea without seeing the space with all the meaurements marked . What is your space under the counter ?

Fully Integrated Panel Installation panel requirements:
- Do not exceed 30 1/8” (765mm) for the overall front panel length
- Needs to be at least 3/4” thick
- Minimum weight is 9 lbs. and maximum weight is 18 lbs.

The installer only left us an extra cord which he did not use. There were no brackets left behind. He left nothing behind. I went to install the toe kick and realized he didn’t even leave the brackets for those either. They’re four missing parts on that too, he handed me a screw. He said this is not long enough go to your local hardware store and get a longer one. None of them were long enough. to head to the hardware store and buy a bunch of shims and glue them together until it’s fat enough in there for the screw to hit. I paid $250 for this installation and they left an unfinished mess. They left the box in my driveway on a very windy and cold day without telling me and I ended up having to chase down Styrofoam. They possibly could’ve left parts in that but I doubt it because they handed me the extra cord that they didn’t use if you pay that much money for an installation it should be installed. You shouldn’t have to run to the hardware store And I did go through the whole manual looking for solutions. There was nothing left for me to make this work. The dishwasher is to the left of my sink which is set an angle because I have a peninsula with an angle. I am so frustrated I have $1700 into this dishwasher with the installation and the kit that I didn’t even need.

There are adjustment screws for the door panel located in the front, by the feet (look at the install manual). You can temporarily loosen the tension, and then tighten again when the panel is applied. It should be in your install kit. Otherwise, as Whit461 points out, it will not stay down properly. You can probably just use some colored plastic with velcro strips if the grey color disturbs you, or you can order a stainless panel from Bosch (their web site sells parts and accessories directly).

Bosch makes one, and we've been pleased with our Bosch. One thing to consider about custom panels for any kind of appliance is that the size needed for the panel may change over the years. When the dishwasher (or fridge in our case) needs to be replaced the original panels may not fit the new appliance. It can be difficult to have a replacement panel made in the future. I searched a lot of websites when we needed to replace a fridge with panels. Even the same brand and generally same model needed different sizes of panels. Our cabinet maker has since retired so it wasn't an option to have new ones made for us as we needed a fridge immediately. Ended up with stainless and will try to replace the rest of the built in appliances with stainless as they die.

No. and you don't want a panel on it anyway. If you are getting that many drips and fingerprints......what do you think a panel will look like in six months? I can assure you, these are always a bad idea, unless you eat take out on paper plates. Skip the panel and wipe up. Pledge ( yeah, the stuff for dusting ) on a dishwasher front works just fine. My appliance store recommends! Spray and wipe and done. TADA!

I already have the panel but my model got delayed and discontinued so I need to pick out a new dishwasher. I had ordered a Bosch 800

That short (32-1/16" tall) dishwasher was an ADA-compliant model. The regular models are 33-7/8" tall. Appliances Connection has ONE ADA-compliant Bosch SGV78B53UC in stock. You might want to see if you can grab it.

The measurements you stated above are for the dishwasher size or the actual panel that you have??

This is the spec for the dishwasher

Usually panels are the same height as the cabinet doors that are next to it so it all lines up.

Post the size of the opening , the size of the panel you have and maybe a photo.

It really should fit .

She provided the dimensions of the dishwasher, not the panel. Her mention of the panel was irrelevant to her question. If her opening is less than 33-7/8" tall then she won't be able to fit a standard Bosch dishwashers; she'll have to use a shorter ADA-compliant model which is only 32-1/16" tall. She doesn't explain why she initially purchased an ADA-complaint model.

Oh sorry - I have it backwards. I had ordered a panel and created an opening for a Bosch 800 panel ready dishwasher. It’s been discontinued after a long long delay. It’s 337/8th tall.

The Ada one is available but it’s a different size. Sometimes it looks like the Bosch 800 I ordered is in stock but if you phone not one has it.

We did this when our panelled ASKO died. I wanted to use the same panel and fit it in the same (very tight) space. I called ASKO and they reassured me that the new one would fit both the panel and the space. I would reach out to Bosch.

How big is the opening for the dishwasher? Standard cabinet heights are 34 1/2 high - are yours that high?? or are they shorter? Can you post a picture? I feel like there is important information missing.

I would want something the same dimensions as the Bosch I ordered and was discontinued. I will phone bosch. I 100% don’t want stainless.

Well, I'll take a wild guess that she wants a 24" wide, approx. 33.875" tall panel-ready dishwasher.
