Can I cut the headboard off my bed frame?

I really need help!! I recently got a new bed, but it looks way too big for my room so I want to remove the headboard, is that possible?? I am aiming for an aesthetic korean style bedroom haha!

Not sure removing the headboard will make your bed look any smaller. If it's too big for the room it simply is too big. Can you consider buying a smaller size bed?

IMO every bed needs a headboard and without one it always looks like a dorm room is that what Korean bedrooms are? I was at aloss for what is Korean style was so I looked up Korean style bedrooms and I see none have a headboard so I guess if that is what you love then get a new bed or you could try just removing the headboard , BTW honestly will really not have much affect on the size of the space looking any bigger . The last pic is kind of nice . I like o read in bed so no headboard would make me crazy

I forgot to add ONE HUGE DETAIL!!! The mattress height from the top of the mattress to the floor is 29" with a steel frame that is 8" from the floor. Boxspring is 9", mattress is 12." So the bottom of the bottom of the mattress sits 8" from the floor. Most complete beds with a head and footboard are 10+" from the bottom of the boxspring. I would be adding at least two additionalinches to the bed height! That is my DILEMMA! This is what happens when I peruse the forum prior to having my morning coffee!!! Sorry I inadvertently left out this big detail. That is the reason I do not think I can use a foot-board. I don't want a step stool (or ladder -haha) to get into the bed! I know the style of bed I want, but the challenges lies in trying to find that bed with a frame that is less than 10" from the floor.

You can buy the frame with both headboard and footboard attachments. I've always used metal frames and have never found them unstable. Just be sure to buy a good one! I'm not sure how you're setting up the bed, but daybeds usually have a back (headboard) along the long side of the bed and then short sides on each end (looks more like a sofa). Thank you for all your nice comments! My sofa came from a model home they were selling the contents of, I bought it for about $150. It has a $2000 price tag under one of the cushions and was a custom sofa made for the builder. A good friend of mine bought some chairs that were in the living room with the sofa. She got a great deal too, we were both really lucky. They are gorgeous big plaid, black and white. A big plaid really looks great with the toile too. You're welcome about the pictures, hope they gave you some inspiration for your room!

Put me in the column of preferring headboards vs. just a plain mattress/box spring. To me it feels more finished. Don't cut the headboard off. If you don't like the style of the bed, sell it on Craigslist or Nextdoor, and put the money toward a bed you do like. That looks to me like a full bed, not a Queen, yes?
