New kitchen, looking for advice on paint color

Hopefully, in a few short weeks we will be begin a major rennovation of our home, including the kitchen. We will have kitchen cabinets in simply white, BlueStar cobalt blue range, PA soapstone counters with nice veining. Balance of appliances are stainless steel. We will refinish the current honey oak floors to a medium oak. The tile backsplash will be a 3x15 field tile in white. There is not much painted wall space in the new kitchen design.

I wanted to do the walls in a light blue-green, BM tafeta green 843 that I used in our last home. It was wonderful, happy color that was very liveable. The natural lighing in this early 70's ranch home is much different than the 1840's downtown home. The same paint goes minty pastel here.

I want a happy kitchen. Should I abandon my plan on using a light teal, maybe move to a happy yellow to compliment the range? Any suggestions?
