Smart lock or keypad lock for a wood gate?

I have a wood double door gate (6' tall) made from 3.5" pressure treated wood. I am looking for an exterior smart lock or keyless lock to use for the gate so that my guests can get in and then lock it from the inside. We use our back gate for air bnb guests, so it gets a lot of use, but we don't want any unwanted visitors getting in as they have done in the past.

Most of the residential keypad locks are not designed for gates where both sides of the local are exposed to the elements- typically the side with the battery can’t be exposed to water. You need a mechanical keypad lock. You can get them in many configurations- levers, deadbolts, always locked, keypad on both sides…

Other options are available but this is the type that I am referring to.

I too am trying to find a keyless entry pad for wrought iron screen door that is compact. The knob holes on wrought iron doors are too close together compared to regular exterior doors. Otherwise, I need a keyless entry pad that is extra long to cover both knob holes. Has anyone found a good solution?

Mine are Master Lock https://www.masterlock.com/products/home-personal-property?personal. There are so many options, combination locks, key locks, padlocks, etc. and differing lengths of shackles. I see they even have biometric and bluetooth now. That might be interesting. I mount mine on the inside since it's just for family to go out once we're in the yard (and I write the combination on the inside of the wooden fence so no one forgets but it can't be seen from the outside). When my neighbor tends to my plants if we're away, I put a padlock with a long shackle on the outside so it's easy for her to manipulate.

Ours automatically locks when it senses our phone is more than 20 yards away… and then unlocks as we pull into the driveway and it senses the phone is back in range.. great because we have a detached garage and sometimes our hands are full with groceries! We can still punch in the code - or give it to the neighbor who feeds the cat while we’re away!

I don't think it's possible to install a lock like that on such a gate. It would be very complicated and costly, so I don't see the point. The best solution to this problem is installing a slide lock to open from both sides. In general, you will need the help of a specialist. However, a good locksmith is very difficult to find now. It is easier to teach yourself how to do it, especially now that it is easier than ever. You can find more information on the Internet, which will help you with this.
