Can we run an electric can opener while we’re looking?

It took a minute. Found it.

My cat comes to me when I call his name. Rather remarkable I think.

Elizabeth, my dog does the same.

Mostly the girls come when I call their name...but to be sure, I rattle their food dishes...always works.

We open the cabinet where we keep their food, and the cabinet with the dishes.

One of ours looks like the cat in the picture and also likes to camouflage.

The electric can opener did it with the last cat I had. I could open the back door, run the can opener, and she'd come from wherever she'd been outside ;0)

ETA I did find the cat. But the puzzle was vaguely familiar too, I think I'd seen it before and may qualify as 'a cheating'....

Got it...great camoflage for sure! Our cat would come running when I opened the drawer that held the can opener. He's be outside who knows where and would hear that drawer open. He didn't come if you opened the drawer for anything else. Guess it was just the time of day

I keep thinking I see it but when I zoom in I’m not convinced.

FinallyHome, for these types of puzzles, I divide it into columns or rows, and scan along each column or row one at a time.

Wow, once you see it, it just jumps out at you. Took me a while.

What I've wondered if cats know when they're camouflaged. They seem to...Misty seems to know she's less easily observed with her gray coat against the gray of our patio...and yet science says their color perception is not as robust as ours. And it presumes a sense of self-awareness that would seem to be beyond cats.

Just like I'm always amazed that animals who have never seen themselves to know what their own eyes look like, know to look other animals in the eye and know when they are being looked at.

Annie, I think it’s the same skill they use when they know you are even starting to think about maybe possibly giving them a pill, or clip their nails. 30 minutes before you start to think about it, they have already vanished to under the bed or behind the furnace.

Doggone it. I'm a failure at these games. I can't find the cat, and I gave up on finding the leopard too (https://www.gardenweb.com/discussions/6173565/find-the-leopard#n=9). Back to sudoku!

I'm embarrassed to say it took me a lot of time to find that sucker.

I examined the exact place where the cat is because it looked different to me and could not see a cat at that time. Now it is a cat.

I only saw it after Annie posted. I did see a lot of scary looking faces before, though.

I did not see the cat Annie hinted at until her hint, but there’s a cat face peeking out from the side as well.

Here’s where I saw a cat at first. Small kitten, facing us, left paw downward. But when I’d zoom in it would disappear. Anyone else see it? This is on a smallish phone. I do see the real cat.

Thanks Jasdip. Earlier I had focused on the area you outlined but thought it looked like a spotted frog. I enlarged, as you suggested, but it took a magnifying glass for me to to finally see the face. - June

i agree with FOAS ... and then spotted the other one..

"I tought I taw a puddy cat" in several different places in the woodpile, until I finally saw the real cat. And as for the leopard, I'm just going to have to take y'alls word for it, that that is a leopard. Even when I try to enlarge it, it just looks like a pile of rocks.
