Whoo hoo! Your body has a good inflammatory response going to the first vaccine. This unfortunately means that your body is doing exactly what it should be.

I think the consensus on that first thread was that most everybody felt like they were hit by a truck after the second one. Take a pain/fever reducer and hope you are better tomorrow.

I have my second shingles shot in October. I've heard that there can be more pronounced side effects after the second. With the first I only had a sore arm.

I had the same symptoms after both my shingrix shots. Also vaguely nauseous.

Bummer. Hope tomorrow is better. My PCP would not give me my second shingles shot at the beginning of thenpandemic because trhe side effects mimic covid. Guess she was right!

salonva - that's exactly how I felt after the second shot - like I had been hit by a truck. I just gave into it. I couldn't even have light or sound around me. I was so sensitive to all stimuli. I felt much better the second day.

I had no energy for about five days after the second shot——hopefully it won’t last as long for you, Salonva.

Oh boy - I better warn DH - he has his tomorrow afternoon and I know is not thinking about having any side effects on Friday.

I had a sore arm with the first. Nothing with the second. My husband was pretty flu-ish with the second. It really varies.

Both of us had no effects with either. We made sure to not schedule anything for a day two just case.

I posted on the other thread. I am doing better but there is still a good sized red mark on my arm. But Saturday I was wiped out.

DH had no reactions.

Totally normal so don't worry. I had the same thing after my second shot. The first was a breeze but the second hit me at about the 12 hour mark and lasted for about a day. I had the same reaction to the J&J jab for Covid.

i had reactions to both shots. Basically flu like symptoms for about 48 hours. My injection site was quite swollen and sore.

I had my first shot last month. I had injection site pain for at least three days, but otherwise no problems.

It's good to know you are feeling better, Salon. But I guess we should all plan for the possibility of a day or so of downtime - good to know.

I do let my friends know, who have yet to have the shots, to not book anything important for the day after, just in case.

Well DH is not a happy camper today after his second shot yesterday. Came home around noon cranky with lots of aches and pains. Tylenol didn’t seem to help much so I doubled down with ibuprofen also and he seems to be better now. Hopefully all better by tomorrow - he doesn’t tolerate any kind of illness very well.
