HI Jingscrivvens- I'm sorry you're having the same problem. Sadly, my solution was to replace the machine. Based on searches I had found online, I anticipated that fixing the problem would be exactly as you described-- have the repairman out, have him not really fix the problem and me be out $200+ dollars if not more since it wouldn't actually fix the problem permanently. Plus I had found just too many reports of 7 year old Bosch washers just outright dying. I found a new Bosch Vision 500 washer for $475 (after rebates) so I figured if I bought a new one I was breaking about even if I figured in 2 repairman visits at $200+ each. I bought Bosch again because while it was working, I really did like the Axxis and the new one was half the price of the one that broke. So if this one dies in 7 years I won't mind as much as when the Axxis broke. For what it's worth, the new Bosch washer works even better than the Axxis ever did. But it's only 3 months old. I can't comment on its longevity. Good luck. It's rotten to have a washer go wrong on you.

The door doesn't "lock" - you can open it mid-wash to add a dish or whatever. On the other hand, it shouldn't pop open by itself. Sounds like the latch as well as other things may be broken.

Hi all, Hmm. I do have an air gap, but no idea about a high loop. What and where is that? Thanks for the info about the condensation vent but that's not the issue. I know that that is a common problem--and some repair people don't even know about it! I thought that the leak had something to do with the filter, which was pretty disgusting. (Who knew that you have to clean those periodically even if you pre-rinse?) But if had been a filter, the water would have been coming from the door, not the toe panel, right? So now I think the leak has nothing to do with the clogged filters; just a coincidence. It's probably something underneath, and not the door, so looks like I'll have to have a service guy come out. And I'll let you all know once I have an answer. THanks!

I also made a mistake in posting this issue in laundry forum, it should have been as Beagienc said this should have been posted in the Appliance forum. Also, Mamapinky0 the dishwasher was made sometime in 1995. I called a couple of repair shops in South Bend/Mishawaka, Ind. and the trip fee was around 80.00 and 25.00 per 20mins. of labor!!!!! I cannot justify spending that amt. of money on a 20 yr. machine. It is to bad that I do not have some of the knowledge that others have I could fix it myself. Thank you for setting me straight on were to comment on certain things. Practigal- It did pump-out the existing water, then it started to fill, then wash, then nothing, it just STOPPED!! And now it will not run on any cycle at all...There are also no leaks.
