Needs chairs to go with my Tulip Table
Comments (10)With my experience, I would like to advise you that can check out this link they are having the collections of dining chairs. You can choose one of them from the bulk. You can have a look at https://www.houzz.com/ideabooks/88340619/thumbs/dining-chair-collection https://www.houzz.com/ideabooks/84426482/thumbs/tulip-table-collection https://www.houzz.com/products/tulip-table-48-wood-oval-shaped-dining-table-in-white-prvw-vr~90255819 https://www.houzz.com/products/tulip-table-fiberglass-dining-round-table-48-prvw-vr~89840678 https://www.barcelona-designs.com/products/fiberglass-tulip-table-mad-men-collection...See MoreSaarinen repro tulip table: Durability of surface and base stability?
Comments (12)Forgot to mention that another reason we went with the wood table was because the height was a bit less than the fiberglass - the chairs that we ordered were lower than the ones being replaced. We, too, considered the faux marble, but went with white since we have a faux marble floor and a marble-y looking quartz countertop. No issues with Lexmod, they even matched a lower price we saw elsewhere. One thing to keep in mind however is that these will be shipped out freight which complicates delivery. It took about 2 weeks to receive after they were shipped since the delivery isn't a direct route. The truck first goes to a central warehouse that serves your location, then delivers on a schedule that might be only once or twice a week to your area. The table is packed in 2 boxes, both of which will be left outside. Assembly is straightforward but due to the weight of the table top you will need 2 people to do this. All said, I love this table!...See MoreWould a saarinen oval tulip table work here?
Comments (25)Thank you everyone! And thank you for the comments on the house! :) Wishbone chairs would be cheaper and they are on sale right now so I will look into that. I really want the 96” - just a little worried that it will look like a conference table and overwhelm the space. I have a couple days to think about it. @palimpsest calcutta would be nice in that it will hide some stains, hopefully, if it is busier. @Sarah lol I might do that! :)...See MoreNeed help…bought all new furniture and I hate it, feels all too white
Comments (11)I'm sorry you are unhappy. It's so frustrating putting in the time and money to make changes and end up with something that you dislike. That style of chair is really easy to reupholster, you just need a staple gun. Sometimes getting the old upholstery off is the hardest part. Aesthetically, I think you'd get the biggest impact from changing out the coffee table. You could look at Craigslist or thrift stores if you don't have the budget for more big purchases. It sounds like something in a dark wood would break up the same-same that is causing you grief. As someone noted, the dining table looks like it might have been intended as a kitchen island (I know my legs would not fit under the table on drawer side with the limited clearance there). If you have issues with functionality, that's the other item I would be looking for. To me it looks fine, and if the only issue is appearance I think maybe that can be addressed by introducing interest and contrast with wall art on the blank wall. But maybe you dislike its looks more than I do....See MoreCelery. Visualization, Rendering images
