light at end of tunnel

Perhaps. Nearly two months of daily clean out/clean up and repairs and my mothers house is on the market! What an emotional rollercoaster going through memories and mentos and frankly ALOT of “stuff”. Each time I have to do this I swear I won’t do this to my children and clean before I go.

How many of you have needed to sell a parents home?

Years ago we had to clean out my Moms large house. She was downsizing to a beautiful new condo for 55 and older. A lot of the stuff In the basement was full of mold. We had a large dumpster and as we were putting the moldy items in the dumpster, she got in the dumpster to save many of the items. It was like being in that reality show”Hoarders”. We started out trying to be compassionate and it ended up a bit of a yell fest. Yes you walk down memory lane and that is bittersweet. We got through it though. We are a tight and loving family, but no so much during that cleanout❣️

Sorry you've had so much yuk going on. The tunnel...a lovely place where there are no sewers running underneath it AND it never needs vacuuming :) Best of luck with the rest!

Yikes! Assuming the first two fridges were also GE Profile?- is there anyway you can get a different model? Though it sounds like you may have the odds in your favour- if you have gone through three lemons already! I haven't added the ice maker to my fairly basic fridge, cuz I have an 'irrational' fear of the same thing happening. My fridge backs onto the wall separating kitchen from living room, so I can picture water seeping into hardwood everywhere. Definitely stay on top of GE until you get satisfaction. I have been dealing with Panasonic about an OTR MW that I bought last December- and I am still waiting for the mounting brackets which are on back order- I have a file on which I started writing dates- NAMES- work order #'s and short notes of conversations (long story- missing brackets just the latest...) I am also of the school- catch more flies with honey than vinegar- but remain firm. Good luck!
