Bisque counter top Microwave!
Comments (7)Drop back and look how bisque looks with white painted cabinets. It isn't the best companion. This is why most use stainless. It's reflective, and it blends better with any surroundings because of that. Keep a 36" stainless hood over the cooktop. No OTR. You will get better function, and form. There are combo MW and wall oven units in stainless as well, but a 28" wide cabinet will be really really tight for a 27" combo oven. Most would want at least a 30" cabinet for a 27", because the face frame is all of the support on a framed cabinet and you would be cutting away almost all of it. Modern 30" combos need a 33" oven cabinet to provide the proper support....See MoreAdding gas range 36 in to a space previously filled by 60 inch range
Comments (10)Karen you know what’d be easier? Replacing a 60” range with a 60” range. I’m guessing you‘re not doing that because they cost as much as a Ford Focus. Don’t worry about centering your 36” range, you could add a 24” cabinet on one side and top it with an induction surface. Two 30” would really only work if you put a gas range next to, say, an induction range. Or you went higher end and had mixed elements (griddles and grills) on each. Otherwise I think two of the same exact range would look a little odd....See MoreKitchen configuration questions (fridge, counter top clearance)
Comments (31)In terms of overall length, I have from left to right: 48" Freezer(18")/Fridge(30") 3/4 inch side cover panel 120" counter top, therein 36" induction cook top 3/4 inch side cover panel 30" wall ovens 48" pantry (2x24" high cabinets) 2" cover panel to the wall = 249.5" Total I've been going back and forth on the hood. It's probably the most discussed item. Originally we planned to get a custom hood liner built for an insert hood, but now we are leaning towards this very basic BOSCH pull out hood. Minimum mounting clearance over cooktop is 25 3/5". There is no maximum clearance given in the spec sheets. It should come in right around 30-32" clearance (math: 84" tall cab (incl. toe kick) - 36" base cabinets - 15" wall cab to mount the hood to - 2" for the hood hardware = 31"), which is very average as far as I can tell. I was planning to build a custom open cabinet left and right of the hood cabinet which will probably be around 16-17" high to seamlessly integrate the pull-out. See inspiration below....See MoreOptions for replacing 40 inch range, want induction
Comments (7)Do you want a new cooktop or a new range? Big difference in what I would recommend. 1. Get a 36" range. Get to 3" base end panels to match your existing cabinets. Cut to fit on both sides of range. 2" each side. You would need to get new countertops with this option. 2. Get a 36" cooktop to go over a 36" single oven. Install single oven under the countertop using fillers side, top and bottom. You would need to get new countertops with this option. Doing this kind of combination can be problematic with fit. Make sure the cooktop and oven will fit in the space ok. Ask salesperson for assistance in checking the specs. 3. Possible to move cabinets so your range opening is only 30" to 36" wide? Would have to rework the cabinets over the range. Maybe get a chimney hood? Again, new countertops with this option. If you don't want new countertops, then you would need to rig something up temporarily until you do get new countertops. or have gaps. Ps. If you do a 36" range and keep cabinets and countertops "As Is"....then have custom stainless steel fillers made to fill in the gaps (both the FRONT and the TOP). This would be the cheapest way to go. PSS. click this link to see the filler Idea I mentioned above. https://www.houzz.com/discussions/5928634/replacement-for-40-inch-range...See Morehameedniazi
