I left a few years ago, because there were conversations I just could not tolerate.

Today I found the following video, kind of boring, but several KT members from back then (2004) are no longer with us, and others just may like to see this.

I'm sure I'm not alone in wanting to extend a Hello and Best Wishes to you.

I think your absence and the absence of the fun reports of your bike exploits have made this forum less interesting to visit. I hope you're still hitting the roads, it did seem to be something that brought you much enjoyment and, obviously, good health. It would be great if you were to start visiting again.

Donna. thanks but there is a problem with its blooms, which is that the rod does not grow high enough. I agree with LindaC. As for lunch either go some place cheap or maybe have her over to your house for lunch if your budget won't allow going out. The idea of lunch with a friend is to get together and chat and spend time together. Whether that's in a restaurant or your house shouldn't matter. I have friends who are on tight budgets, and when they say no going out this month or something like that, we simply make alternate low-cost or no-cost plans. No shame in it, everyone has their own budget and (most)everyone has been on a tight budget so people understand. I have a group of friends who got into the gift-giving mode. Five of us - and we ended up being obligated to recognize each of our birthdays. Well, I didn't want to do it anymore, not so much for the cost (although that did come into play) but because I had to agonize over what to get them every year. So I recently brought it up, could we quit giving each other gifts? We already do a sort of greed game gift exchange in Dec so we decided to let that suffice. I think everyone was relieved. You know, some people just love to give gifts. It's not that I don't like giving so much, it's more that I agonize over what to give and probably don't get it right more often than not. By the same token, I end up with gifts from others which I really don't want or need -- it's not that I'm not grateful, but I can see them in that same situation, wondering what to get me, and ending up with something I'm not that wild about. For me, friendship is way more about spending time together, doing whatever, than it is about exchanging gifts.

Thank you, Teacats Anniewy, Hanna Antiques is on 7th Ave S, just off the Red Mountain Express way exit onto 8th Ave S. Does your MIL live in Hoover near Hwy 31 or Hwy 280? If Hwy 31, be sure to check out Hoover Antiques at the corner of Patton Chapel Road. It's upstairs in the shopping center (Bedzzz Xpress, Quiznos are there) so you leave 31 to Patton Chapel, the turn right on Old Columbiana Rd to enter the front door (it's on the second floor only of the building, so entrance is around back)....and thanks!

WOW, what a surprise! Thanks EVERYONE! I'm gone to get that daughter of mine.. LOL patti43 that was such a great line, all in German. You're cool. I spent the morning with my "practice grand daughter" and the afternoon with Master Gardener friends, and the evening with cycling friends. Twas to cold for a ride, as far as I was concerned, and to windy. After all, I am old enough to know, what I don't want to do. ;) This has got to be my BEST year yet. I know all of them, but cannot, for the life of me, recall all of the names.

Glenda, Flamingo, Dances for sure....I am surprised I didn't see Nita...oh, yes, I spotted Nita in the group pic on the front lawn.

Thanks Moni for sharing that. Predated my presence here but it was fun to see. What struck me is none of us type with an accent, so it was surprising to hear them!

I do hope you'll stop by more frequently. Miss you and your photos and hearing of your bike trips!

You've been on my mind quite a lot lately with all the devastating floods that have wreaked havoc in Germany. I hope all of your friends and family members are safe...away from any harm. It's good to see you, Moni. Like you and your reasoning, I rarely post these days but I sure would like to see you return...for my enjoyment as well as the others posting above me.
