Comments (0)Hey I am considering getting the Wolf SRT364CLP for my new construction. A local sales rep I am working with is really pushing the Wolf. I searched here for it and nothing came up. I also looked on other websites and this model has no reviews. Thanks...See MoreGonna decide by a show of hands!!! Or Yays 'n Nays....
Comments (3)BlueStar and Wolf were my top 2 choices for rangetops and I sounded just like you! I went with Wolf, but have to be honest that I still wonder, occasionally, if the grass isn't greener on the BlueStar side ...I love that my Wolf has equally powered burners instead of having to pick and choose by the power levels, and still believe it was a good choice because of that. I think the 22K burners might have been nice, but, wow, the 16K is pretty HOT. Wolf customer service seems really good, and they seem to stand behind their products. The one place I think BlueStar might have been better is the cast iron components underneath the burners that are in a more open arrangement (more spaces in between), instead of Wolf's shiny, black, more closed set-up. I think the cast iron would be more forgiving in appearance, building a patina that looks OK, in contrast to the cooked on grease, etc. that leaves dull splotches on the shiny black under-burner pans, so that they never seem to look completely clean. I also think the bigger openings around the burner parts would allow things to drop through to the catch tray, rather than collect under the grates and around the burners, looking unsightly until the stove is taken apart to clean. We have 8 burners, so I can't speak to the grill by experience. The infrared Wolf is supposed to be great, except some complain that it's actually too hot and can't be turned up or down. If I had a range, I'd go ahead and have gas ovens, but as long as they're in the wall, electric has better reputation for baking performance, and I'd go with that. If you're willing to spend Wolf money on ovens, I think I'd probably get Miele. :-)...See MoreWolf Dual Fuel range owner...
Comments (16)YouÂve probably read my posts before but here it goes. >>>Wolf Dual Fuel Range owner... How do you like your range? What do you like about it or vice versa? Repairs? Service issues? IÂm donÂt own a duel fuel because I could never justify the extra cost for what I consider to be a marketing gimmick. The range burners are very good, no repairs or service needed on two different stoves over 15 years. >>>I like the griddle but I heard great things about the infrared grill too. Is it hard to clean? To clean the grill: 1) Turn it on high let it run for 10 minutes 2) Brush it off with a grill bush Mine is a high use one, I clean wipe out below the grates every 2 weeks, that takes about 2 minutes with a wet cloth and then do a through cleaning twice a year. NOTE: The griddle is harder to keep clean than the grill. Grill or Griddle???????? That depends upon YOU and what you cook. Write down a list of what you would cook over a month and then see which one you will use more. If itÂs not a huge difference than get the grill and buy a griddle that sits upon your burners and have the best of both worlds. The wolf infrared Char-broiler is one of the main reasons I brought this unit, it is a top of the line unit that is not comparable to any others except American ranges. >>>From another GardenWeb thread, Miele oven seems to be superior over the Wolf; do you have problems with your oven below the stove? (i.e. some had mentioned the blue oven interior fading/flaking) Could be, any electric oven that is self-cleaning undergoes high heat for several hours, that puts extra strain on the coatings and the parts themselves, personally it is another gimmick I donÂt see a need for. I have American Range double wall ovens (gas), if I went electric I would seriously consider the GE Profile series. >>>I am also considering a wolf rangetop (open burner) and a separate wall oven ( partly because I find it easier to operate the oven while standing upright than bending down; however, my husband prefers the grand look of a 48" or 60" freestanding range. ThatÂs a personal choice, if I went the cooktop route and no grill I would probably get a Bluestar and one of the ovens I mentioned above. If I wanted a great grill I would get the wolf....See MoreTootsie
