What does back side look like? Since it looks like it matches dining table in background, it likely matches your furnishings. What would you have for a table if not this piece? If that’s a family room, seems like a convenient place to stash a few games and puzzles away when not in use. It’s too low for a display of treasures I think & I’d also want to keep it uncluttered looking so no magazines etc. Books maybe.

Why does it matter if it is antique. If you like it and it complements the rest of the furniture, then use it. If you don't like it and it doesn't work then it is too expensive at any price. I furnished with pieces that I call "good used furniture". My sole criteria was whether I like the piece and whether the price was less than an equivalent piece of new furniture that I otherwise would buy. When I redecorated recently I re-evaluated everything and got rid of some of my old stuff that I no longer liked - and kept (and refinished) some items that I still really liked. For example, I kept my original bedroom furniture in the Waterfall style minus the bed and dressing table. I repurposed the dressing table into two night stands and had the armoire and bureau refinished. Had a new bed made to my specifications. Kept the furniture because I liked it as well or better than any new bedroom pieces I looked at. As others have posted antique looking brown furniture has been reproduced for years and years. It might be 100 years or more old but it is more likely from the 1920's or 1930's although the 1920's are now officially antiques or almost so 🤣🤣 My aunts had end tables like that in the 1950's and I am reasonably certain they bought them new.

I think for most people it is easier to find a competent HVAC company to do this than to find someone who calls themselves a handyman who you can trust to have the skills to do it properly. I know how to get a licensed electrician, licensed plumber and a reliable experienced HVAC person. When I remodeled, my HVAC company moved the vent because I moved the position of my cooktop a bit so the connection to the exhaust system also had to be moved before the wall was finished and tiled. OP's installation is even a bit trickier since there is also the issue of how opening and sealing the exterior wall would be handled. At least with a reliable HVAC company they will let you know what they could or couldn't do. I would also think they had experience in actually doing exterior venting and if they didn't handle the exterior opening they would have a recommendation. I have no idea where I would find a "handyman" - I used to have one but he retired years ago. Perhaps I would use a handyman from Angie's List or equivalent to hang a shelf or the equivalent but I would never trust someone to do anything that required a level of expertise and which could be done in a half assed manner that wouldn't be apparent immediately.
